Ratchet's SummerSlam Interview

Q. Ratchet, you have obviously done well in RSW so far, already claiming the RSW Tag-Team Championships alongside Dumbledore, and you find yourself in the King of the Ring finals facing Imp Sparta. You have two matches at SummerSlam, how do you rate your chances of defending your title and claiming the World Championship?

A. Absolute.

Keep it warm, big fella...

You never know when a certain someone may look to make this company...

...Phenomenal...

Fuch, I thought you knew what best for business was?

Having Deafdavid in a championship match, or even a highlight match against Tiger Jericho...is not best for business...

With all that's going on in the world, specifically the states, I think the last thing you want to do is highlight a mute trannee...(RuneScape filters are still fun, I see.)

But hey, when you've got Tiger Jericho in the spotlight, even Deafdavid becomes a draw, I suppose.

Look how jealous brama is since he ain't me. It seems like he doesn't even know how to earn a highlight match in the PPV but giving him a dark match is the best for the jobbers league.

I remember when you first came into RSW... You were nothing more than a pimple on a gnat's ass.

Nothing's changed.

And, David, when it comes to "jobbing" you've been the best at it for years.

The General Manager's Interview

Questions

Fuchsy &

Wobble

This Saturday, you guys will host SummerSlam which has several matches that are anticipated by pretty much everyone within the community are there any, in your eyes, that specifically stand out?

Well for me personally, I believe that all the matches are going to be fantastic, obviously you have the World Championship match between Ratchet and Imp for the main event, but if I had to choose one that stands out, It would be Lewis vs Tman for the Middleweight Championship just for the rivalry that is going on between them currently.

I have to agree with Fuchsy & there, while the World Title carries the largest prestige, the match that carries the most hype is that clash between Lewis and Tman, unless Ratchet and Imp start hurling insults at each other.

What are you guys' thoughts on the Middleweight Championship match? There's obviously a lot going on there between the competitors

Well, alot of people believe that it will be a blowout due to the level difference, but if i know Lewis there is no doubt that we will see him rise by quite a few combat levels before the fight begins. I also believe that with all the crowd hyped for this fight, the perfect match type was chosen for this match, a Lumberjack Match, so the entire audience can get involved.

I have to agree with Fuchsy & there. The match typing will play a crucial role in this match as I'm guessing there will be at least one hop-out to heal, if Lewis hops out he's going to get crucified which should lead to some fantastic entertainment.

I wouldnt say the crowd is entirely against Lewis on this occassion, only the KASH members, really have a hatred for him, i believe the crowd will do their fair share of damage to both competitors

Do you guys have any imput of the apparent "KASH takeover"?

Well obviously, Wobble and I are part of the clan, however we have obviously chosen to remain neutral when it comes to representing KASH in fights. I believe that it's going to have to take another group to rise up and fight KASH if they want to stop them taking over, as it's quite obvious that they will be teaming in the group fights, especially in our Dungeon Brawl at SummerSlam this weekend.

As far as that particular match goes, there's a lot of confusion going into the match about the championship itself. The champion's inactivity has raised questions about how much that person actually deserves to be champion. Opinions on that?

Well, we have some good news, The RSW Hardcore Champion, Pernix, has logged in earlier today and has explained his absence due to his exams, which is understandable, he should be able to attend SummerSlam and defend his Championship after all.

This Saturday is shaping up to be a memorable event, a number of matches that would normally be a draw, all in one card. How do you decide whitch match opens the show?

This time around we decided to be pragmatic by allowing the fighters to have Hardcore gear before the show begins, which is why we're starting with that. The only downside is that Dungeon Brawls are usually considered to be the ultimate or penultimate fight in a pay-per-view, but hopefully we've made it easier for everyone this week.

I also believe it shows our intentions, to be different from most RSW companys which is important, so we can be our own brand, I also find it extremly important to have the World Championship match as the shows Main Event, having the Dungeon Brawl as our first match on the match card helps speed things up, without people having to go bank for 5-10 mins during the show.

A unique approach, but a good one. Not only can I see this saving time, but it'll also start the show off with a match everyone can be involved in. From the standpoint of managers, what do you think about piling?

I believe it's part of the game really, when it happens to go against me, I can get quite angry but it is all part of the process, you have to try form friendships and bonds in RSW so that you can get in with the groups and survive until the end. It is also important to not be too loyal, because before you can run away your own team could turn on you.

I agree, and I also think the nature of piling and multi-man matches allows wildcards to have opportunities to win a title, rather than seeing the same competitors each time. It also brings into play tactics rather than just raw fighting power, as highlighted by Fuch
