Now that the event is announced and open to all to see, it's time for me to fill this post in and use it for the huge Thank You it was intended for, Naturally, I'd like to thank everyone on the team that helped to turn such a small idea into something so huge, but beyond that there is some special Thank You's I'd like to give out personally.

I see what you did there ;)

I fail to see how this event could really get anyone into or teach anyone about PvM and its mechanics in Runescape, every single mass I've ever seen or been in devolves into either the boss dying or phasing in seconds unable to do anything meaningful with its mechanics, or like with KK's magic orbs, kills 80% of the people present while also dying in seconds himself. Both ending a fairly terrible PvM experience for those that are truly new to PvM, and a boring experience for those who aren't. Is there any way or are any steps being taken to address these issues?

In all essence, this event is mainly designed to be a fun little lead up to Christmas for the community of RuneScape. And as such the experience levels of everyone involved will vary dramatically.

Higher end bosses like Angel of Death and Vorago have such mechanics that prevent them from being killed "instantly", and in doing so, this gives people a chance to learn some vital mechanics for such higher end bossing, be it the insta-kill mechanic of Angel of Death or the Timed phases of Vorago.

Some people will attend solely for killcount to help them with their pet chances when they go off on their own, Some people will attend just for fun and to meet new people, others will come for their own reasons and gains and others will come just for the fact it's a community event and there's many avid Eventers in the community, In my experience its always fun to see familiar faces turning up to my events or events I'm attending.

For the lower end bosses and such, I do like to call out any vital mechanics before instances begin and during the event, naturally with things like the Kalphite King, some death is to be expected, especially where the mage phase is concerned..Everyone is encouraged to watch a guide or look up strategies for any event they wish too attend but if not, thats not a big deal, we can cater as well as is within our power to do so.
