The NRC board was modernized and streamlined with the introduction of season 14 and since then we have been trying to look towards the current player base and expansion. A large part of what we do includes methods of spicing up competition and allow for a much more tactical and elite level of gameplay.
We have really tried to look at gameplay with the introduction of new stats, a new pitch and a revamp of tactics within the current season. A player of the week award has been assembled. But now we are looking to announce a whole new event that is sure to get the NRC community buzzing. I am of course talking about a much discussed topic in the past and I am proud to launch an officially run "NRC All Star Game".
The way in which we are running this is a draft of the competition's leading players in points (a combination of tackles and goals) with two very established players in the community as team captains. The game will be a best of 3 seperate 15 minute segments where the score resets after each third, with overtime rules if it comes to it and will be refereed by two non-drafted or non-qualifying players.
Each player drafted will be announced one day at a time starting on the 1st of December and will either be on the blue team,
I personally feel as though KFC has been overlooked in this early part of the season and this week he really brought the top of his game in a very close battle between the top 2 ranked teams. KFC has been recognized in the past for his offensive ability on the ice and his solid technique on defence, which really was evident this week where the Seers manager scored 5 goals and pushed a 30+ tackle game. His versatility in playstyle, being able to slow the play down with an ice move and speed it up with well-timed tacklebacks is the reason KFC is our player of the week.
