1) How to make money effectively (however not through merchanting- we do have some successful members who merchant and we can give general advice about what to watch out for if you plan on this course of action- we do not advise which items to merchant and only warn members of the potential dangers so please do not ask us!)
2) How to level a skill
3) How to complete a quest
4) How to play a minigame
5) How to keep boredom at bay if you are skilling over and over!
6) How to effectively become a player killer (Please note Weapon Jack is the only Leader who will advise on this subject though other Community members may be able to assist as well)
7) Which other Event Teams can be recommended
8) Bless a grave in cases of extreme Emergency
7) Provides a clan community chat which is geared to help all players regardless of their combat level, whether it be with a quest, skilling, making money or anything else Runescape related
8) Provides a safe and fun environment to chat with other like minded Runescape players, where we can have a laugh, fun and share Runescape experiences with
9) Actively encourage members to help other Runescape players when called on to do so, to provide a more friendly community

•¤†¤• 12) Who are we:-
1) We are a clan chat that has existed since 13th October 2008, and we have always been a small, friendly bunch of friends who enjoy playing Runescape together.
2) The community was created by Piesofdoom and Weapon Jack (Weapon Jack remains one of the six Equinox Leaders)
3) Four of leaders of Equinox- Weapon Jack, Knight Deece, Joisefeind and Amoraten have been members of Equinox from the date the Equinox was founded. Lord Crono 1 and Bubbles Orc were made leaders earlier this year.
4) We have generally held weekly events since the time of the Equinox’s creation and arrange events for the whole of Runescape’s Eventeering Community and join other teams in joint events
5) We are predominantly GMT based (which means we tend to be most active between GMT 15.00- 0200 Monday-Friday and 0800-0300 Saturdays and Sundays).
6) We have members from Europe, the USA and Canada.

Our weekly events are held at 19.30 (GMT) on a Sunday
Below is a useful time zone thread to explain the time zone where you may live (short guide help with weekly events)
General Event times (Sundays)
Given that we are base our times on GMT (Greenwich Mean Time)- Jagex is based in the UK the following Time Conversion may help you work out the times:-
EUROPE
Western European Standard Time (GMT): 7.30pm
Central European Standard Time (GMT+1): 8.30pm
Eastern European Standard Time (GMT+2): 9.30pm
NORTH AMERICA
Newfoundland Standard Time (GMT-3:30): 4pm
Atlantic Standard Time (GMT-4): 3.30pm
Eastern Standard Time (GMT-5): 2.30pm
Central Standard Time (GMT-6): 1.30pm
Mountain Standard Time (GMT-7): 12.30pm
Pacific Standard Time (GMT-8): 11.30 am

•¤†¤• 14) What do we expect from members of Equinox? (Requirements to Join)
We are fairly laid back in terms of what we expect from our members:-
1) To be friendly in Equinoxclan chat and not cause any distress nor bully any player
2) To ensure that the usual Jagex rules are followed
3) To enjoy themselves playing Runescape
4) We do not expect you to be active at all! You can pop into Equinoxclan at any time and still be ranked one stripe (obviously the more involvement you have with Equinox the greater your Rank will be but unlike other communities or clans we will not expel you because you have been inactive for a while)
5) If you have any criticism concerning an event being held- to be respectful to the organisers of the event and raise concerns with them in private
6) To have a little giggle!
7) You can be F2P or P2P- we have members from both
8) You can be any level of combat to join (i.e. you can be level 3 or level 138)
9) You can be any level of skill
We value kindness and friendliness to other players to be far more important indicator of the type of Runescape player you may be rather than any other stats you may have

•¤†¤• 15) Roles within Equinox

1) Leaders
-to arrange Events for Equinox and attend the same
-to update the Forums
-to generally assist players in need when humanly possible (but not to the point of sacrificing their own enjoyment of the game!)
-to arbitrate disputes
-to ban players wherever necessary
-to see to the general management of Equinox and its’ well being
-to provide Leadership to the clan chat and to moderate it in a fair and unbiased way

2) Captains
-to assist the Leaders wherever possible
-to attend Events
-to moderate Equinoxclan chat
-to arbitrate over disputes when a Leader is not available
-to welcome new members to Equinox
3) Lieutenants
-to be helpful to other members
-to abide by the Community rules when the chat is not moderated and welcome new people to the community
4) Other players
-to abide by Equinox rules
-to abide by Jagex rules
5) Smiling Face
This means someone has a special status within Equinox. If someone has a smiling face they are generally leaders of a fellow event team/clan or community who are friends with Equinox. Such people should be treated with respect given that without community support Runescape would be a much smaller and lonelier place without them

Sometimes we feel that the ranking system causes too much friction within a Community or Clan, however here are a couple of basic rules:-
1) We do not place any particular emphasis on “ranks” as many other clans do. You will find that provided to you abide by the Community rules, and are generally friendly to other players you will receive a shiny Lieutenant mark quite quickly after joining our Community
2) The ranks of Leader and Captains are the exception to the rule and both have the ability to kick a player from the clan chat. Before such status is ever awarded we are very careful who is chosen to ensure that they will act fairly at all times to the members of the Community and will not abuse the privilege of their rank.
3) To achieve the rank of Captain you will need to demonstrate a general willingness to help other members, actively participate in the chat on a regular basis, attend events, assist our forums sites and generally act in a mature way in particular when dealing with any disagreements
4) Do not ask to be ranked. The Leaders and the Community generally discuss these matters on a regular basis and rank weekly to ensure that people who deserve recognition may receive the rank they require
5) Most people start with one stripe! Irrespective of Combat Level. However this can be changed in exceptional circumstances and at the Leadership discretion
6) Please note that the Leaders have extensive experience in running the Community- the fact that Equinox continues to the present day shows this. They are not infallible and of course can make mistakes, but please do not challenge their authority in the Community chat. If you have a grievance directed at any of the Leaders raise this with another Leader and ask that person to moderate the chat with you and the Leader you have a complaint against
If any arguments arise generally speaking, any Leader will invite the people into their own Clan Chat to resolve.

•¤†¤• 17) Equinox Rules
We are a fairly laid back, liberal community but we do have some ground rules. We do not tolerate:-
1) Swearing (this may usually lead to a warning if serious enough)
2) Insulting behaviour to any other community members (this may lead to immediate dismissal from the community if is serious enough or a warning which will be noted and if too many complaints are received ultimately in dismissal)
3) Bullying (again depending on the seriousness of this it would usually lead to an instant dismissal from the Community)
4) Once a player is dismissed from the Community it is very unlikely that they will be allowed back. However this rule could be reviewed after a period of time, following a long dialogue between all people involved in the Community
5) Spamming (just a waste of typing energy in our eyes and likely to lead to a warning)
Other basic rules!
6) You are allowed to mention other clans/ events and organisations in our Community Chat- however the active promotion of another clan to entice people away from Equinox is frowned upon and may give rise to a warning if serious enough- it generally is viewed similar to Spamming
7) You may join another Community, clan or any other Event Team. We are very Community spirited and would encourage you to try an Event once in a while from another Event Team (see the Featured List on), to get the most from your Runescape Experience. We also actively encourage to join other community events which appeal to them and occasionally will attend en masse to someone else’s event if the time zones etc are favourable
8) You do not have to come to every Event or any at all! If you can attend that is seen as being a committed player to Equinox, but different time zones, real life or other Runescape goals may prevent you from attending. Those members who are likely to gain Captain status are likely to be people who generally attend most events and actively participate in the organisation of them

•¤†¤• 19) Our “Buddy” System
New members of the Community can ask to for assistance in a particular skill, quest or anything else Runescape related. Where such a request is made, such character may be assigned a “buddy” from one of our members. The purpose of the buddy system is to place someone with an existing member who will help them work on a particular skill or quest (whatever the case may be). Usually a “buddy” will be one of the leaders or other high ranking members of the Community (though not necessarily always).
You can also “Request a buddy” on this thread if you need help on a particular skill etc
The time a buddy spends helping someone is time which that person is giving up for another. Therefore please DO NOT expect this to be a service which can be demanded- our buddies need to enjoy the game as well. If your buddy is not around another leader or player may be able to help. Any nastiness or unreasonable demands on our buddies will result in the service being temporarily withdrawn

Simple! Most players have items that others may want to lend. Some of the higher levelled Equinox members own such items and generally speaking, are more than welcome to lend!
If you are having difficulty lending an item, post your request here and we shall see if someone in the community can assist!
