(¸.•´ (¸.• N.W.F. - WHAT IS RUNESCAPE WRESTLING AND WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

RuneScape Wrestling is a user generated event that centres on the heart of this game: combat. Based in 'Legacy Mode', it is an activity which takes place every week inside a player’s POH. I stress that this is an entirely safe activity. There is no risk to your items whatsoever.

Duels between two participants generally take place inside a Combat Ring, however for specialist match types there will of course be exceptions to that rule. Steel Cage Matches are for instance, quite fittingly, held inside a Steel Cage. Different matches will have different rules. Regular fights are melee only, however mage/range become legal in 'Hardcore' bouts. Pots, Food, Summoning and Visible Prayer also become legal in 'Hardcore', but are banned in normal rules matches.

RSW is an event structured along the same lines as real-life wrestling. Despite fighting with weapons and armour, we've adopted the same concepts of championships, gimmicks, Tag-Teams and more. This gives RuneScape Wrestling an edge over normal duelling.

To be a member of RuneScape Wrestling, it's true you need a thick skin. Trash-talking is common, but mostly in good taste. Nonetheless, you can also expect to make some good and very loyal friends in the process. For a lot of us, this industry is the only reason we still play this game.

Most of all with RSW, you can expect to have a good time. Shows are enjoyable events where you can test your mettle against some of the best fighters RuneScape has to offer. You can rise through the ranks to claim Championships, meet a lot of down-to-earth people (and some way off in the clouds) and become an icon in an industry which has been around for over a decade.

N.W.F. CONFLICT Shows are on Saturdays at 7:00pm GMT, 2:00pm EST, World 137, Rimmington. We hope to see you there

=====================================

Welcome back to the National Wrestling Federation.

In 2007, I founded N.W.F. with the intention of building it into something spectactular. We ran a good race for two long years, sacrificing saturday night after saturday night. We reached the very peak of the mountain and conquered the castle. When N.W.F. won a consecutive Company of the Year Award, it was time to end. N.W.F. closed in January 2009 and went on hiatus for over two years.

We returned in mid-2011 by request of the people. RSW was in a sorry state and I don't mind if I'm considered arrogant for believing it was N.W.F. who rescued it. Our return show attracted the largest attendance RSW had encountered for years. We prolonged the life of RuneScape Wrestling for a further two years and put on more great shows. But RSW has always had a problem attracting new blood. And eventually we all just grew up. We all moved on. We all got our own lives and we all explored the real world.

Confusion surrounding old-school RuneScape and EOC killed off RuneScape Wrestling in 2013. But if you're reading this now, I know for a fact you had a belief it would one day return. As sad as it is, we grew up with this industry. And there's nothing wrong with one last bump of nostalgia.

With the release of legacy mode, N.W.F. is back for one last hurrah. This is a throwback to the good old days; a period of time where we can, to an extent, be kids again. This is a chance to right the wrongs of old, to create new memories and to get to know each other - because there's no doubt we've all changed immensely.

I can't promise a show every week. I can't promise it'll feel exactly the same. But what I can promise is N.W.F.. And that was always pretty damn special.

I'll see you Saturday... Back in the N.W.F. ring once again.
