(¸.•´ (¸.• HISTORY OF THE N.W.F.
=======================

~ NWF was founded on September 10th, 2007 by Dedle5. Being a rookie company with a rookie owner, it was common belief that the National Wrestling Federation would not last very long. Dedle5 had only been in RuneScape Wrestling for an inconsiderable amount of months, making more enemies than friends in the form of half the TNA Roster.

Nevertheless, the NWF moved quickly to secure contracts for several wrestlers they saw as one day being the top stars of the company. The likes of Kazokio Dave, Bvsboys and Ericdrewdude were all recruited through connections to fellow federations IWP and HRW. Wrestlers like Sheet Foot and Woodstock347 found their own ways to the NWF while Spellman26, (L)t Gang 1 and Mr Money2277 also joined the NWF later on in the year – all five becoming champions and future Hall of Famers.

The NWF sought to innovate RuneScape Wrestling and entered the industry with the mantra of ‘New Revolution Wrestling’. Many people even mistook NWF’s name for NRW in the early days.

A key moment in NWF’s early history was undoubtedly the signing of Armortrolly. Armor spearheaded the NWF to the top of the pile, upending companies like TWC and RDF. He seemed to have a magnetism about him that attracted attention and made matches exciting. He could build hype like nobody else and always delivered in the ring. In late 2007, Armortrolly made his contract with the NWF a permanent one and stated that NWF was “the best company [he’d] been apart of”. He would later state “NWF made my career”.

NWF’s first show took place on September 15th, 2007. Rjb0108 and Ravenie fought for the NWF Cruiserweight Championship, with R2J coming out on top and becoming NWF’s first ever champion. The United States Title (now named the NWF Middleweight Championship) was decided in a Battle Royal, with Tigerxlr winning out. Redgiant 23 would win the title the following week.

=======================

~ A triple-threat Tag-Team Match followed, with Team Ing Lives (Ing Lives and Spaghetti3) facing both the HArt FOundation (Kazokio Dave and Vortix0) and Serotonin (Armortrolly and Bvsboys). The latter of these three teams claimed victory, beginning one of the most legendary Tag-Title reigns in NWF history.

The Main Event of NWF’s first show was a huge showdown between two men who would come to symbolise the National Wrestling Federation. Kazokio Dave and Armortrolly faced off against each other for the NWF Heavyweight Championship (then the highest levelled title available in NWF), with Armortrolly the heavy favourite. In true Kazokio Dave style, however, the most illustrious man in NWF history upset the balance and claimed the honour of being the first N.W.F. Heavyweight Champion.

Two weeks later, after Armortrolly had reclaimed the Championship from Kazokio Dave, a Triple-Threat Steel Cage Match was announced in which Armor would have his first title defence. Armor was joined by Kazokio Dave and Sheet Foot in the Cage. Having been overlooked for a title opportunity the previous week, Sheet Foot capitalised on his chance and defeated both Kazokio Dave and Armortrolly on the same night – to this day one of the most impressive feats ever accomplished in NWF – to win his only NWF Heavyweight Championship.

PPV’s such as the September Singles Tournament and Nightmare November followed. Armortrolly defeated Spr123god in the final of the September Singles Tournament, while at Nightmare November the NWF Global Domination Championship (now named NWF World Championship) made its debut. In fitting circumstances, seeing as he was also making his first N.W.F. appearance, Fantastico J became the first recognised NWF World Champion despite having been defeated by Night Wol128 in a classic 2/3 falls match earlier in the show.

=======================

~ Alex Myles also finally won the NWF US Middleweight Championship between these two events in October, going on to be one of the most dominant middleweight wrestlers in NWF history and a true standard bearer for the NWF.

Also In 2007, (L)t Gang 1 would take his first of many NWF Heavyweight Championships and Kazokio Dave was elected as Superstar of the Year 2007 for his impressive title exploits. The National Wrestling Federation was also voted Company of the Year 2007, joint alongside LDF, despite only being alive for three months.

Beginning 2008 strongly, NWF continued to be the top ranked company in RuneScape Wrestling. 2008 was undeniably the pinnacle of our sport, with more fighters, more companies and more competition than ever before. NWF developed a somewhat heated rivalry with fellow ’07 company, WWA (World Wrestling Association), with much tension between the companies respective Presidents, Dedle5 and Automatic6. Past day titans such as LDF and TWC fell somewhat into the background as these two modern day powerhouses battled it out for supremacy.

Despite several occasions where it looked likely, NWF and WWA never went to war, despite Dedle5 challenging Automatic6 on several occasions. However, a war did break out between NWF and HRW which saw Ericdrewdude interfere in NWF and NWF invade the entire HRW show. This conflict was settled after HRW backed down from warring.

Just one week into January, Bvsboys defeated Fantastico J to win the NWF World Championship in a huge upset, whilst the following month Kazokio Dave claimed his first N.W.F. World Championship and (L)t Gang 1 began his domination of the NWF Heavyweight division; beginning rivalries with the likes of Barnez10, Jamsgg and Purplels – each of whom also held the title at one point. (M)r Money2277 defeated Charles11113 at Time Crisis in a revered IronMan Match to win the NWF World Championship.

=======================

~ Bigbud44 also returned to the NWF after having been acrimoniously fired in 2007. He would win the NWF World Championship on two separate occasions.

The NWF Federated Nations Championship was introduced in May 2008, being won by Death Is Str (Swamy12) and later being held by such superstars as Samual Dude, Lamchops90 and Rjb0108. Seto292, Darth Liam5 and Tigereye6904 passed the Middleweight Championship back and forth between one another before Seto left the NWF, and both Team Mis-Dave (Misery122 and Kazokio Dave) and Gang & Stock (Lt Gang 1 and Woodstock347) won their first Intercity Tag-Team Championships.

The NWF Hardcore Title was introduced; first being won Lt Gang 1 and subsequently being held by fighters such as Kazokio Dave and Purplels. Miniman2220 finally won the NWF World Championship in May, as was the case with Vortix0 and the NWF Heavyweight Championship in September. Rjb0108 also won the NWF US Middleweight Championship on three consecutive occasions in February.

In July, the new-style NWF Elimination Chamber debuted at Summer Spectacle, with Armortrolly claiming his first N.W.F. World Title by defeating Fruitloop444, (L)t Gang 1 and Charles11113. Armor had previously stated he would retire from wrestling if he lost the match, causing a huge amount of hype. Subsequently, the NWF-style Elimination Chamber Match was voted Match of the Year 2008 and is widely regarded as the greatest RuneScape Wrestling Match of all time.

Nightmare November saw the return of the 2/3 Falls Match, with Jamsgg facing Spr123god. Jamsgg won out against SPR to end one of NWF’s best ever rivalries entitled: “Undefeated!”.

SPR also rivalled NWF Legend, Gweav, throughout this time period. They met at Christmas Clash in a Three Stages of Hell Match, with SPR claiming a win in a Steel Cage Match and Gweav claiming the Ladder Match.

~ Gweav would win the final Hardcore Rules bout to decide the Three Stages of Hell – dealing SPR the highest hit we’ve ever seen in N.W.F in the process. Gweav retained the NWF World Championship in doing this, with SPR having won his shot by winning the 2008 September Singles Tournament (defeating Jordf 06 in the finals).

2008 also saw NWF WrestleMania I, the grandest event of the entire year. Dead Devil05 claimed victory in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, winning a shot at the NWF World Championship any time within a year. Seto292 made a shocking return from inside the arena, after weeks of coded messages, to win the Federated Nations Championship and Kazokio Dave claimed his fourth NWF Heavyweight Championship by defeating Pieboy106. Team NGL (Jordf 06 and Mr Money2277) defeated The FEBS (Dead Devil05 and Fruitloop444) to win the vacant Intercity Tag-Team Titles. Spr123god also made a controversial ‘Unveiling’, revealing his new gimmick to outbursts of laugher and intakes of breath. In the main event, Gweav retained his NWF World Title in a 5-man Elimination Match but was blindsided by Dead Devil05 who cashed in his MITB contract on the same night he won it. Dead defeated Gweav and walked out of NWF WrestleMania with the NWF World Championship.

2008 was the year where NWF legends Jordf 06, Jamsgg and Gweav all debuted in the National Wrestling Federation – the latter of which set the record for the longest World Championship reign in NWF history. It also saw Lt Gang 1 temporarily take over General Management of NWF’s main show, CONFLICT. Red Fire236 and Dead Devil05 fought in one of the best RSW matches of all time, while Ravenie and Gbtal17 upset Redgiant 23 in a comical match-up. Goldninja 75 began his NWF commentary career, while Armortrolly and Spr123god were elected as joint-Superstars of the Year for their outstanding performances and great ring-manship.

=======================

~ Mod Poppy made several high-profile appearances in the National Wrestling Federation throughout 2008, becoming synonymous with the company, while Mod Mark (H) threatened on one occasion to attempt to ‘shut down’ the NWF such was the riotous nature of its roster. The 2008 Hall of Fame was also announced, with wrestlers like Spellman26 and Charles11113 taking up their rightful places.

In the 2008 RSW Awards, NWF took a clean sweep of accolades. The National Wrestling Federation was voted Company of the Year, NWF Summer Spectacle I was voted Pay-Per-View of the Year and the NWF-style Elimination Chamber Match was voted Match of the Year. However, the Awards did not pass by without controversy. Automatic6 claimed to have evidence that Dedle5 bribed Charles11113 and Ravenie into voting for NWF over WWA. While Ravenie stated he voted without prejudice, the other accusation was proven. Automatic6 argued that NWF and WWA should tie for the Company of the Year award. This idea was, however, rejected by the people of RuneScape Wrestling due to the fact that, even if Charles11113’s vote had been discounted, the National Wrestling Federation would still have won by a considerable number of votes.

Into 2009, N.W.F. went through something of a transition. Dedle5 was moving slowly away from RuneScape, and Vice-President Spellman26 began to take up some of his duties. Spellman was installed as Co-President, and then, in February 2008, as President outright.

Nevertheless, Dedle5 did GM one more high profile show as NWF hosted the first ever joint-PPV with fellow 2007 Company of the Year, LDF: New Years Knockout (NYK). Vanderman and Lt Gang 1 defeated Gweav and Spellman26 to claim the NWF Intercity Tag-Team Championships, while Ravenie beat Mudkip852 to take his first US Middleweight Championship and Gweav defeated Lamchops90 in Ranging Pedestals to retain his NWF Hardcore Title.

~ Spellman26 won a Fatal-Four-Way Match to win the NWF Heavyweight Championship (defeating Lt Gang 1, Dead Devil05 and former champion Kazokio Dave). (M)r Money2277 also retained his NWF World Title against Charles11113. In a Battle Royal for an NWF World Title shot at REVENGE!, level 69 Sgt Freeman defeated 29 other wrestlers in one of the most hilarious and shocking moments in RuneScape Wrestling history.

NWF and LDF also fought against each other at this Pay-Per-View. An Owner vs. Owner Match (Dedle5 vs. Spr123god) finished as a No Contest in a controversial ‘Islamic Rules' match, while NWF Champion, (M)r Money2277, defeated LDF Champion, Misery122, to make it 1-0 to NWF. Miniman2220 (representing NWF) then defeated Dead Devil05 (representing LDF) to extend NWF’s lead. Team NWF also met Team LDF in a 4v4 Tag-Team Match. NWF legend Kazokio Dave captained a team of himself, Miniman2220, Spellman26 and Triple Hhh57 against LDF captain, Dead Devil05, and his team of Vanderman, (L)t Gang 1 and Charles11113. NWF won this match as well, defeating LDF in a 3-0 clean sweep.

The Main Event of New Years Knockout also saw an interbranded match. A No-Holds Barred Dungeon Brawl for the #1 Contendership of both the N.W.F World Championship and the LDF Title took place, with the surprise of being dropped into an Inferno. (L)t Gang 1, a legend in both companies, won the match.

NWF continued on under Spellman26’s presidency after New Years Knockout. Mudkip852 won the NWF Federated Nations Championship in this time period and Lt Gang 1 and Triple Hhh57 captured the NWF Intercity Tag-Team Championships – Triple Hhh57’s first title in N.W.F..

The National Wrestling Federation would eventually close its doors in May 2009, with Night Wol128 being the last NWF World Champion of the original era.

=======================

~ Having been in hiatus for over 2 years, and in answer to a call from the people of RuneScape Wrestling, the National Wrestling made a long-awaited and shocking return on 23rd February 2011. Kazokio Dave, Miniman2220, Fantastico J, Gweav and Bvsboys are examples of fighters who returned solely because of the National Wrestling Federation. Tigereye6904’s reaction to NWF returning just about summed up general feeling, “No... *******... Way!”.

NWF’s return show took place on the 26th February 2011 and attracted the largest attendance in RuneScape Wrestling for over a year. The first ever NWF King of the Ring Tournament was announced, with the prize being the NWF World Championship as well as the King of the Ring crown. Spellman26 and Wth Is Chuck captured the NWF Intercity Tag-Team Championships in a Fatal-Four-Way Tag-Team Match. Con(z)a41 upset the balance and became the NWF US Middleweight Champion in a 5-Man Elimination Match.

Samual Dude also won the NWF Federated Nations Title in an epic 6-man Inferno Match, while 027jonathan claimed the NWF Heavyweight Championship in a Steel Cage Tournament, defeating NWF legend, Gweav, in the finals.

A delayed 2009 Hall of Fame was also announced, consisting of just two names: Gweav and Jordf 06.

REVENGE! was NWF’s first return Pay-Per-View, with Wth Is Chuck defeating 027jonathan to take the Heavyweight Championship in an IronMan Match. Some months later, the King of the Ring Tournament ended with Jamsgg defeating 027jonathan in the finals to take his first N.W.F. World Championship and cement himself as an NWF legend. He is, to this day, the only NWF King of the Ring in RuneScape Wrestling history.

Jamsgg would, however, lose the championship a month later at NWF Spring Slam. Jordf 06 and Jamsgg had walked into the NWF together in April 2008 and met in one of the best showdown fights in NWF history.

=======================

~ Jordf 06 would walk out as NWF World Champion, claiming victory in both an Inferno Match and a Street Fight – the latter of which went down as one of the best NWF matches of all time. Miniman2220 captured the N.W.F Heavyweight Championship at N.W.F. Time Crisis, dominating Wth Is Chuck and ending the second longest Heavyweight Title reign of all-time. Tigereye6904 defeated Deafdavid5 after he, in turn, had defeated Samual Dude some months previously. Tiger, David and Sam passed the title between themselves throughout all of 2011 – becoming undeniably the three most important FN division wrestlers in NWF history.

Samual Dude and Deafdavid5’s rivalry was particularly memorable, with Deaf defeating Sam in a Last Man Standing Match for the FN Title and a Street Fight to end the rivalry.

Also during this time, NWF would see the debut of Fuchsy and his good friend, D(e) Doctor – the latter of which would set the record for the longest Middleweight Title reign and the former of which would go on to be NWF Vice-President and one of the most important NWF fighters of the modern era. Severofheads would also make his NWF debut later on in the year after weeks of hype about the ‘Next Big Thing’.

In September 2011, NWF hosted Summer Spectacle II, which saw the return of the NWF-style Elimination Chamber. With the previous Chamber match being widely regarded as the best RSW match in history, the second Chamber consisted of Vlairr, Wth Is Chuck, F*chsy, Jordf 06, Tigereye6904 and Dead Devil05, with Dead entering last and ultimately winning the NWF World Championship just over three years to the day he last held it.

September Singles also took place just a few weeks later, with Severofheads becoming the third man after Armortrolly and Spr123god to win the Tournament and continue his undefeated streak. He would go on to break Ss Tripwire's undefeated record with 15 victories.

(¸.•´ (¸.• HISTORY OF THE N.W.F.
=======================

~ Viewer’s Verdict became NWF’s second interbranded PPV, with NWF teaming up with old-time rival WWA to put on a show which was rated 100/100. Team NWF (Jamsgg, 027jonathan, Kazokio Dave, Deafdavid5 and Dedle5) defeated Team WWA in the Main Event.

Tigereye6904 GM’ed NWF WrestleMania II in place of Dedle5, who was close to leaving the NWF and RuneScape again. Dead Devil05 retained his NWF World Championship in his retirement match and again against F*chsy, who had been given De Doctor’s MITB contract which had been won that night. In this sense, Fuchsy sought to emulate what Dead Devil did at WrestleMania I.

The 2011 Hall of Fame saw Tigereye6904, Miniman2220 and Samual Dude inducted, while 2011 also saw the retirement of two of NWF's most iconic and important wrestlers, Spellman26 and Kazokio Dave. Spellman retired after winning the NWF Heavyweight Championship one last time (still holding the record for the longest Heavyweight Title reign of all time), while Kazokio Dave announced his retirement on the NWF thread after symbolising the NWF for the best part of 4 years. He remains the most illustrious wrestler in National Wrestling Federation history.

Shortly after the 2011 Hall of Fame induction, Dedle5 again took his leave from the National Wrestling Federation and appointed a triumvirate of Presidents in the form of 027jonathan, Tigereye6904 and F*chsy. NWF continued into 2012 and eventually closed its doors in May. It would return on old school servers in late 2013 before Dedle5 briefly returned to write the signing off letter for RSW itself.

Another two year hiatus ensued for the National Wrestling Federation before, in July 2014, it was announced that NWF would return for a final run on legacy mode servers. The NWF Top 100 Superstars was published soon afterwards, with Kazokio Dave being ranked at #1.

NWF's first show was announced for the 9th August, 2014.
