I'm not sure what you are asking. Are you asking how to install the Linux version of the NXT client for RS3? The Raspberry Pi uses an ARM architecture CPU. The Linux version of the NXT client runs on Intel/AMD 64-bit architecture CPUs so the NXT client won't work on a Raspberry Pi.

Hey guys, I am trying to return to Runescape on a laptop running Linux Mint, I can't seem to play it as after spending the last 2 hours finally getting it to install and run with thanks to this forum, I can't seem to get past "updating graphics settings". I'm pretty sure I should be able to as I play the game on my work computer which is way older and the way i'm opening it is by typing runescape into console and click play on runescape.prm I believe,.

If anyone knows a fix it would be much appreciated, I am still letting it try to update graphics settings and if it does work on it's own I will immediately edit the post to say but I don't think time is gonna do it.

Thanks.

Ganja Wolf,

You might be seeing two different problems. One, your mention of the runescape.prm file suggests you are trying to start the Java version of RS3 using HikariKnight's RSU client launcher. Jagex no longer supports running the game in Java. Now, you must use the NXT client to play RS3. The RSU client launcher can still be used to play Old School. Two, you are getting stuck at the Updating Graphics Settings message suggesting the game might be having issues with the laptop's graphics driver.

I tried both the client from the runescape website and the flatpak, neither were working. However, I did find success in switching my graphics driver from nvidia to nouveau. Moral of the story is to never use the proprietary nvidia driver.
