Clicking on Runescape icon to run/start NXT does nothing. Up until March 3rd it worked fine..
I think the Linux install package is currently broken. Jagex are aware and are investigating.
Please see this thread in the Website and Forums forum for details:

Edited again. Is the RSU client still working? I want Runescape to run on my 32 bit computer running Debian. I lost my hard-drive and cant run windows 10 anymore. Now have Debian installed to flashdrive.

Is it possible to run RS on 32 bit Linux, or am I out of luck now?

Dear Jagex, please let me know the current status on fixing the problem I posted here on March 5th. In regards to: "Clicking on Runescape icon to run/start NXT does nothing."

I see someone reported the problem in this forum, Linux Download Broken 02/03, and that you are aware of it. code: 278-279-573-66145484. Unfortunately that is closed.

I submitted a report to Jagex on March 5th. "Using Linux Mint 19.3 since Dec. just fine. Tues. the game will not run...". Mod Zee kindly emailed me and refered me back here, QFC: 409-410-916-65990459. Which happens to be this very forum.

Please let me know what you have found to this point. Since I am not able to play Runescape with Linux, I need to decide if using Windows or a phone are my only options?

Thanks ahead of time Jagex for replying in a timely manner :)

Tried installing the x11docker image. Acts like it's going to start (get splash screen) then it throws the following error:

/home/$USER/Jagex/launcher/rs2client: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libssl.so.1.1: version `OPENSSL_1_1_1' not found (required by /home/$USER/Jagex/launcher/rs2client)

./x11docker: line 874: 13720 Terminated watchmessagefifo

Running Mint 19.3 Cinnamon. Attempts to purge runescape-launcher and reinstall result in an error message, as well.

If something isn't said to address this soon i will be forced to stop paying for 4 accounts. All of them i have on auto pay and have been loyal for years. I will not simply use windows sorry i know everyone says if you really want to play then switch back to windows, this is not going to happen.

This is extremely frustrating and driving me insane... Jagex not caring about their linux player base at all, like they dont deserve to be... What kind of a support system is this? I've been extremely loyal, paying... not even a froob who lived entirely through g.e bonds... paid real cash for purchases... and this is the kind of service we get. Ridiculous! Please just do the needful ASAP!
