I can not log in to my account been trying for 2 days and still saying the same message pop up saying ( Invalid Credentials ) when trying to log in .. How can it be when I know my email and password and change it seeing if that help but it did not.. I can log into the site to make this thread but not in to the game WHY!! Nothing on the customer support end..

If you re-type your login, does that work? It could be you've accidentally left a space or a typo in the login.

If that fails, go through this support page and select the options that applies to you:

Did all that and that did not work it still giving me the same message Invalid Credentials and I I can log fine into the site with the same credentials but not in-game even tryed turning on and off my authentication . I do not use any RL or and 3d party clints just the old plane runescape that you can get on site ...

Okay, head into the website account settings -> Email & communication preferences. It will give you a hint of your email. Next, head to the support page above and click No -> Yes. Enter the email into the field. You will be emailed a list of logins associated with that email.

That's one way to confirm logins are correct.

Thank for the revolving door answer ....All I like to know is why can I log on to the site but not play my account I type in my credentials and put in the six number that the authentication put out and work my way over here to get nothing but the same links to do the same thing I been doing....And so I made a new player to see if it the game it not that I can play on it..So what with this ( Invalid Credentials ) When it clearly that my credentials work on said site....So if you or if any one know and not give me the same link I been trying for TWO days!!! At wits end don't want to see my wasted free time go down the in the dumps lost to the web I click hard for my lvl's... Going to wast my day off trying to get this fixs... so I dare you revolving door answer me one more time.. sorry for the yelling...

What's the device you are trying to sign in from? E.g. your phone, pc, ipad... etc

I'm asking because if you are signing in on a phone, the sign-in could be broken and stuck in a loop trying to log into a different account. Life is like a camera: Just focus on what's important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don't work out, take another shot !

I'm not sure if you have been made aware of this, but a login can be different from a registered email. A login can never change, but a registered email can.

If you are able to sign into the website, it means you have a Jagex account.
A Jagex account can be used in both the Oldschool and the regular version of Runescape.

Please double check this for me.
1. Head onto the Can't log in page, click No, Yes, and fill your registered email into the field. Check your email for a list of logins associated with your registered email.
2. Perform a password reset by typing your login in the field. Check your email for instructions.

If it returns the 'invalid credentials' error after doing that, it could mean your registered email has been hijacked. Start by securing your device and email , and then account . Thank for trying to help but it just the same thing you been saying and it been thing same thing I been doing

I have reset my password 10 times now.. did the If been hack ....that got me no were .. so what now all my work has been lost ..

YOU TRYed your best with what you go and what you got is @#$% to work with ..

OR do I make a new email and switch over? If can? and if so were at in the setting?

If there a way to just shut off my acc and turn it back on .. hopeing for the long run

Are you certain that you are typing the same login in website as in game?
Even if there's a tiny variation in the login, it means you are signing into two different accounts.

Something you could try doing is installing the Jagex Launcher and signing in there. Curious to see if that works any different for you!
