Check the Runelite executable's Windows properties, and make sure "Run this program as an administrator" is not checked. Also check you have an up to date version of Runelite. If it is too old, it may not have the hooks needed to accept the account credentials from the Jagex Launcher.

If you installed the new OSRS client via the Launcher, then that should all be set up correctly. Glad to be of service :) (Powered by GPP™ - Share and Enjoy!)

All software that is used to login and is 'NOT suggested/made' by Jagex/JMods might stop you from playing RuneScape with Jagex Launcher.

This is done to prevent players from having an unfair advantage or problems of being hacked/hijacked.

I get an error that reads

"ERROR
Unfortunately Runescape could not be started.
Please try uninstalling the game and re-install using the button in the Jagex Launcher.

If this problem continues, contact Jagex Support.

The Launcher tried to run the game from:
C:\Program Files\Jagex\Runescape Launcher\"

So, I never installed the game on my C: drive, always on my D: drive, not sure why its trying to start it from somewhere it's not. And yes I've done all the steps and Jagex support is useless.

I even reinstalled it to the C: drive and still had the same issues.
