If you aren't using it already, you'll need to use the Jagex Launcher to play with a Jagex Account. If you don't have it, you can download it here:
https://www.jagex.com/en-GB/launcher

If you do have it already installed and have been using it, make sure to log out of all accounts on the launcher prior to attempting to log in with your Jagex Account.

The information you use will be the same you used to access the forums, your Jagex Account email and password.

How are you attempting to log in. Is the account you're posting on right now been migrated to the Jagex Account, or were you referring to another one?

The launcher apple linked above uses the EXACT same login as the website does, so if the account you're posting from was migrated over, it would work.

The old RS login portal will not, as that looks for standalone runescape accounts, not characters tied to a jagex account.

Ok, so when you load the launcher for the first time, it prompts you to log in before you can do anything or select which game to load a client for.

As it loads the website login page, you'd just sign on the same way you do here on a browser. Then you can select which character and game to load, then launch the client to play.

Is something else going on, or are you using a diff method?

If you're getting to the login screen on the client, you're not using the jagex launcher. As apple stated above (and also stated after migrating an account over), you have to use the jagex launcher to proceed with playing.

You need to get it from either the link in apple's post, or from the download's page of the website.

The client login will not work with jagex accounts.

Post on page 2 confirms 2nd thought below with the login not processing correctly.

OR....do you have the launcher, but it's not logging you in like it's supposed to?
