So as the title says, I need help.

For nearly 2 years I have been locked out of one of my accounts. The problem is the Google Authenticator. The account in question is called “Ai L” which had hundreds of hours of gameplay time.

The problem is this, the authenticator was on a old phone,which I no longer have, I used my girlfriends email for the Google authentication, we no longer have access to that email either, after numerous attempts of trying to recover the account and after using the correct information such as bank details, irl name , dates etc, I still cannot get access, I know the current password and always get stuck on the 2fa part.

I am pleading someone look into this and help me, the account is sentimental to me as it has a lot of hours put into it .it hasn’t been logged in for years and if checked will be proven, I have also posted on Reddit trying to reach out to one of the j mod team who could possibly help me with my query, thanks ever so much. Hey, Forged Spine.

How long does it take for the account recovery requests to be answered? It is within minutes or does it take half an hour or longer? If it takes minutes, then it means that most, if not, all of the information that you are providing is either insufficient or completely incorrect. If it takes longer than that, then you are providing somewhat correct information but not enough to prove that you are the owner of the account. Knowing this would allow us to see how far along you are during the account recovery process.

Always remember...

• Try not to use a VPN when recovering an account. VPNs make it harder for Jagex to create a digital print of the account, something that's very useful to them and to the player when such player is trying to recover an account;
• You must try to recover the account in question from the location that you created the account on or the location that you play the most on. This will show Jagex more proof that you are indeed the account's owner;
• The earlier the information that you enter, the better. This is because it will allow Jagex to see that you indeed know the earliest details on the account. Most recent details may not be useful;
• Try to put the ISP that was used when you created the account. If it's still the same, then say so. This will help you tremendously;
• Try to name ANY display names of OTHER accounts that you may already own, even if you don't play on them that often. This allows Jagex to cross-reference ownership links among those accounts;
• Billing information usually means the earliest details that you may have from the account in question;
• You should mention the original display name of the account, ONLY if the account in question has an email as a login.

While true that poor choices in setting up the account originally have made things difficult, that doesn't mean that its the end of the road for that account and the only way forward is to play a different account (that would be true for a Jagex account, but that isn't the case here).

In this case, if the owner is able to submit a successful recovery, they will be able to regain access to the account (which resets the registered email) and remove their authenticato. As such, providing advice on the best way to strengthen a recovery would be best here.

It’s been around 12 hours since doing the recovery and I have had no reply as of yet , could this mean that they are looking into it manually and passing the automatic denial ? Thanks miss ana for your help
This is actually a good sign, yes. The longer it takes to get reviewed, the better it is. Let's hope that they come back with excellent news for you :) .

@Applejuiceaj, so about what kind of advice are you talking, as it seems that you know more and have better advice.

They have no RuneScape Authenticator and have no registered email address.

Stop stalking me for talking about the truth and let your groupies hunt me for giving feedback about a situation as it is. Every evening the same thing that happens to me and you people let yourselves being triggered because someone else disagrees with me about what I say.

The only thing that might happen is that Jagex/JMods throw overboard their '
Rules of RuneScape
' and/or '
Terms & Conditions
' and give an account to people who claim to be the owners of said account.

If you only know the accounts' current password ... they might as well be some hijackers attempting to successfully get an account working and get away with hijacking accounts.

These stories about broken phones and inaccessible emails is getting quite a broken record.
