I thought alot about this before i decided to post, so here goes.
Most accounts are never hijacked. Never.
Tren is right about one thing, each account has a person behind it. And no one is infallable.
I personally have 18 accounts that have spanned the whole of Runescapes time online.
Only 1 ever got hijacked and it was by my oldest daughters real life boyfriend. If he had
never been in my house, he would never have gotten into that account.
That was in 2009.
No one likes to think they have done something to hurt themselves, even if it is all about a game. But the thought is still there, you need to go over every step and make sure you keep your account secure. There are so many "little" things that go a long way. like make sure you dont click save for 30 days for authenticator code, make sure your bank pin has to be put in every time you log out. use authenticator code for bank pin. authenticator on email.
Unique passwords that ARE NOT saved on your desktop. Dont use same passwords for rs accounts and emails. Go read up on all the do's and donts of internet safety, not just what Jagex suggests for their games.
