Hey all, we’ve had an issue where a guy in our clan was just reporting everyone constantly and getting them muted/account name changed/ banned/ everything. We finally got rid of the guy and my main “Freshdoeput” has caught a ban for something I’m guessing was taken grossly out of context. When I asked to see the evidence I’m just sent an email stating basically “you messed up bad” but never gives me any evidence. I’d like if someone could look into this, find the evidence, maybe even read what was said. I do believe this was an unjustified mute. I just wanna play the game and talk to friends.

Because that ban you received was handed out after an extensive period of mayhem in your clan with another player(s), there might have been a follow-up investigation to find the true cause of all of this and as a result of that follow-up investigation you received said ban.
As a result said ban might be a '
manual permanent ban/mute
', which can be checked in your '
Account status
' , if so chances are that said ban is 'unappealable'.
If it is appealable, than be cautious as how you present yourself to Jagex/JMods and let common sense rule above all.

It was a manual perm. We aren’t sure what was even said or how he managed to get a few accounts banned as well. I was given a chance to appeal, not given evidence. I was pretty straight forward with my appeal and explained the issue and lack of evidence. I just wanna play the game and talk to friends.

It was a manual perm. An explanation wasn't necessary as all the evidence Jagex needs to determine the outcome is gathered by the in-game system. A manual permanent ban cannot be appealed, according to the Appeal an offence Support page. Manual permanent bans are thoroughly investigated prior to being issued.

The moment you got issues with said player, player you got rid off, if you report said player about the issues he/she is creating and report it to Jagex/JMods so they can take action and end that 'harassment/hassle', you and your clan have no worries getting into troubles with Jagex/JMods.

However, the nature of reports that player was sending to Jagex/JMods and the '
way you got rid off
' of said player reporting is, is what makes this situation turning the way it did for you and your clan.

Disputes/argueing/throwing mud and stones/reporting over & over ... all can be dealt with in an acceptable way, ending in a few mutes/bans here & there but '
getting rid off
' of a player, where Jagex/JMods told you '
you messed up bad
' only proves that you people did cross a line soo badly that there's no point of return.
I do not think that you need any evidence, you people knowing what was done and how, thus being superfluous to ask for another clarification.

Just accept what happened to you and in the future, let Jagex/JMods deal with players who are attempting to put you in a bad daylight trying to harass/hassle you or your clan.

You’re both contradicting each other here. We didn’t know the guy was reporting us until we all started getting muted/bans. Why didn’t the guy just leave or use his ignore?

I was able to appeal my Manual Perm Mute, my appeal was denied. There’s no evidence given to anyone involved in these.


Check it out, do I need to really cry on Twitter or be a YouTuber to even get some non NPC response regurgitated directly from the front page?

I wanna see some evidence? Any J mod can read items presented and come up with their own narrative. What was being said was literal banter between clan mates and some troll decided to park his account there to report people. I just wanna play the game and talk to friends.

No matter what, letting others into your clan, publicly or after an invitation, your clan always need to keep themselves to the '
Rules of RuneScape
' and to '
Terms & Conditions
' and take care, that rulebreaking activity is left out.

As a clan-owner it is your task to take responsibility and deal with rulebreaking matters, as how Jagex/JMods do propose, by reporting and let Jagex/JMods deal with a situation.
