I'd like to preface my post with the obvious - I had used macros on an account I had previously. This is not a matter of me being "wrongfully banned" whatsoever. I broke the rules and was permanently banned because of it. The account was banned several years ago.
Almost immediately after the ban, I submitted an appeal under the pretense that "it wasn't me". Which was not only incorrect, but Jagex almost certainly had the data to back up that it was in fact me. This appeal was unceremoniously rejected for obvious reasons.
I've been playing on another account since then, and progressed considerably farther than I did whilst I was cheating on the other account. I wanted to check to see just where I progressed to, but it no longer appears on the hiscores. This brought me back to the idea of requesting an appeal for the ban once again- this time being a significant amount of time after the ban with an appropriate amount of time to reflect on the situation and accept responsibility for what I had done.
However, the account still shows that the appeal was rejected. There is no option to resubmit an appeal, likely to prevent abuse.
I was curious if Jagex ever "reset" this type of thing, if it would be possible in the future to appeal this ban once more. I in no way am assuming that they will accept a new appeal, but I feel much more equipped to submit a proper appeal after all this time. I feel as though I "wasted" my previous appeal in a heat-of-the-moment attempt to not lose the account.
Again- I accept what I've done and understand why they've done it. If there's any chance they would appeal it, I obviously would want to pursue it.
