I really liked the idea of a chat icon for ironman. The whole point is to be able to stand out from the rest of the community. In order to do that I'm forced to wear an outfit all the time? Is this outfit supposed to go over the armor I wear or something? Is it even good?

We will no longer be offering a chat icon for iron man accounts after reviewing feedback from Old School players.
Fantastic! Thanks for taking our feedback on board.

Question:
Should iron man accounts have access to shops removed? This would prevent them buying anything from any shop in RuneScape.
Well, at least you put this as a seperate suggestion. Although, I still feel bad about the thought of having to start over, now that this mode is being officialized :/ Well, maybe next year..
Edit: Could you also offer resets to accounts who wish to re-start as ironman? I don't know if I want to play on this account anymore now that the Ironman is being officialized, so I'd rather use the same account I always have for ironmanning.

I fear you are once again getting ahead of yourselves. To much of this dev blog uses language implying the content will definitely pass (ex: We will be allowing the owners of iron man accounts to register...).
Artisan was said to have "a pretty good chance at passing" by one of you in its final dev blog, and we all know how that went.
I'm just saying, I think this kind of language sets people up for hype, and then possible disappointment. Iron Man is supported by many vocal players, but once again, only 25% of players need to vote no, and many people don't like the idea of segregated "classes" of accounts.
Which I suppose also brings up the point of the inevitable consequences of being able to vote without reading the dev blogs.
The people that care about the addition of content will usually be the ones to leave feedback on the forums, while some people never open them and just vote either all "no" or vote with no information.
Perhaps link to the dev blog on each poll and require a "Read" button at the bottom to be checked? Some people may still scroll through just to click "read", but it would at least help a little.

IF you want corp but no eoc, legacy mode. ignorance is bliss and i don't want ur rs3 TRASH in this game.
You came to osrs knowing what you got and yet you still want to change things over and over. little changes that add to convenience or adding a fun little minigame or event is fine with me. But something game changing like corp is not welcome and tarnishes the old-school feel. Simply the look of corp and spirit shields give me chills of rs3.
This has as much logic as a 2 year old I hope your proud. Corp was released in 2008...years before EOC and RS3 so what you're saying makes 0 sense. And if oldschool was only suppose to get tiny updates like you suggested then we wouldn't have a personal team dedicated on creating updates. All of the mods have said over and over that this game needs updates and to progress. If your happy doing the same bosses over and over for the rest of you life good for you but majority of people can't. The game is getting stale from a lack of updates. And just the talk about corp has brought a decent amount of players back to oldschool that have left because they got tired of killing the same bosses for months. The shields aren't "op" like you think they are. What made the shield awesome is summoning, flasks, curses, and many other things Oldschool currently doesn't have. They will not devalue the other shields unless the people that own them cause them to devalue by panic selling them off. The spirit shields will be so expensive none of the shields should drop in prices as they are great alternatives if you can't afford the 200mish+ price tag of one.
And finally if you're so hell bent on "OMG NO UPDATES/TINY UPDATES ONLY" you can get exactly that if you start playing Runescape Classic. Have fun at preschool
