If you wanna be an iron man, you can be one without the stupid symbol. Lets get corp passed, something that ACTUALLY needs to get passed in order to play it.

Iron man mode seems really interesting to me. Even if I don't make one I think it'd be cool to see what people can manage to do with the restrictions. Who knows, maybe I could convince a friend or two to start again with a new twist. I hope it passes but I won't hold my breath ;p.

Sure i guess you can implement it.....i can't imagine the starting prices of these shields! You guys can bring in this shields and give us the use of an AGS but you guys second guess the dragon claws? More and more reasons to bring it in. Hopefully you guys think about it!

Another point i'd like to make about the iron man challenge is that ALL PLAYERS who choose to participate should have to start over upon its release.

I, personally, would NOT vote in favor of the challenge if there wasn't a fresh, equal start for everyone. This is a huge part of the excitement for everyone I think.

Agree with all of this.

By the rules set forth, there are no real iron man accounts. Paul, Adam, and even Josh, who plays much more strictly (doesn't allow himself to complete heroes/shield of arrav) have already broken some of those rules. Adam (and I think Paul) have berserker rings. All three have done nmz.

On the subject of nmz, I think it should be allowed. None of the rewards are really that unreasonable for iron men. In fact, it's UNREASONABLE for an iron man trying to max to have to mine all his own p ess for 99 rc (1m ess, 91 mining) then runecraft it all. Runecrafting would be a two year+ ordeal. Plus, all that time spent getting 91 mining doesn't benefit your smithing skill at all. Runescape is a very time consuming game as it is, let alone for iron men. NMZ doesn't require player interaction, so it should be allowed, period.

Also, is there a way to check trade logs on osrs accounts? If iron man mode passes could people claiming to be iron men just submit a request to have their trade logs looked at? Then if they've never accepted items in trade/stake they can have their account converted?

I wouldn't be surprised if they could check that (since you can only report people for certain things if they traded you recently), BUT they likely wouldn't be able to tell if you picked up drops from other people, PvM'd with others and just didn't split, used a personal booster. They might not be able to see if you only traded others to give them something for free, too.

I can see a lot of potential abuse if they allowed players to convert.
