Ugh. I don't like the reward shop.

It's like saying kill your slayer task, earn points and spend them on unique slayer items.

It's exactly what you're doing for Bounty Hunter, I think Items should be received as rare drops when you kill your target.

Am I really only one who don't like this? I just see it in a slayer perspective.

List of all the improvements that I have thought of so far.

-Teleporting during a fight with your target will nerf your emblem by 1 tier.
-Add a ring or upgrade to the Occult necklace that doubles the power of magic spells special effects excluding ice spells.
-Make the Blessed Saradomin Sword also only use up to 50-60% special attack usage.
-Add upgrades to the Bandos and Armadyl armors that sink the items after a certain amount of time using them.
-Add an upgrade to ancient smoke spell's poison attack that drains combat stats like a disease effect.

You're not serious right? By that logic, people could hit 60's with Ice Barrage. Maybe a tiny boost to magic than what it already gives (Already *P), or perhaps a couple defense bonuses to justify using it for hybriding or something. But doing it that extreme is a major no-no. One of the biggest things that killed single PK'ing was the fact you could start hitting like 38's with barrage and that Korasi mage attack that hit 60s.

When you do PVP updates, from past experience it's always a good idea to stay away from Mage. Even in it's earliest forms back in the day, it was OP.

Sorry I meant special effects from the spells. Not their damage.

That's terrible, why not add PvM currency to the game so people can trade it and spend it at an upgrade shop too. No? That'd be stupid, no hard work for upgrades.

I'm talking real items, something both PvMers and PvPers can use to benefit them in combat, something with coin value comparable to slayer loot.

In a way currency would be comparable to removing all drops from slayer and making a tradable slayer currency, which you can buy and upgrade all slayer drops. Bad Idea, right?

You're being too critical.

Also I'm primarily a PvMer and I support stuff like this with BH rewards. I'm not forced to PvP at all, I can easily buy the currency from a PKer to buy something I want from the store if I'd like. I'll also have a better environment to try out PvP should I want to experience PvP.
The entire point of this update is to make PvP more appealing like PvM and skilling are in terms of making money so people can experience PvP much better, hopefully, than right now where it's a complete waste of time and effort.
With rewards like this they can also penalize players for playing cheaply like teleporting from fights, rushing/pjing, ragging, etc. and should solve a lot of PvP problems.

Yeah rare drops when you kill a target, not like Dragonfire Shields and things as I remember those being part of the original tables. I do like the sound of most of the current rewards, just as a drop rather than a bought thing and completely tradable. Kind of like slayer, you're assigned to kill a monster you get your rare loot. Bounty Hunter, you're assigned to kill a player and you get rare loot.

Not a huge fan about the Dragon Defender though. It's not really a pvp item..

And regarding the currency... I don't even know why I have to explain it. With the currency being the only tradable source obtainable from BH, it instantly sets a price for everything in the shop. Imagine... Whip in shop 800k tokens and Dragon boots 700k. The price for Dragon boots would be close to the whip at 1.5m, each item should be separate drops and tradable for this reason. It gives some items value over others, depending on supply and demand.

Having a shop is also allowing Jagex to set the prices. With this the price of the 'Clue box' will be determined by the value they set it at in currency and the value the best item is set at for example 'Saradomin's tear'. If this was valued at players at 2m, it'd instantly give the 'Clue box' a value too when it may not be that important to the players to begin with. As Tradale drops, it allows for players to set all the princes individually without having issues like a clue box being stuck at 500k and prices controlled by the points.
