Maybe it would be best to give out 2 party hats and 2 Santa hats, but also add in crackers in some way. I'm not thinking 2 for each player, but add something where one may be distributed to some players at random, or add one that spawns occasionally at random intervals and locations around the holiday event area. This should at least help keep the cracker from becoming a ridiculously expensive item.

Hey guys, I've seen a fair amount of people express concern that these "rares" have been ruined. Can we please vote a second time whether to discontinue the rares or not? There is no point in them existing anymore..it is kind of ridiculous. They serve no purpose and have no value. If they are being given left and right, there was no point in hosting hunts for these items over the summer. Please cast a re-vote.

I think Rares Should be rare... no point in constantly adding, there are plenty in game now, and with prices going up it gives people more of a drive to grind away at stats to play, because honestly if there was no way to show off your wealth cosmetically, why play the game?

Half Serious Idea= Add maybe a decent Strength Bonus to the hat items, like Santas or Phats, that way there's a reason to have them

Not gonna lie i have a decent amount of Santa Hats, and to be honest i think that if people are smart enough to keep their items, then they should be rewarded... no more dropping rares... please jagex

im going to enjoy my 2 free santa hats and party hat sets this christmas by the way as well as the crash and look of despair on the greedy individuals that invested their banks in fun holiday items hoping to gain mass pixels

This. +1 People are greedy and trying to make holiday items a money holder. Not anymore!! kiss them GP's good bye! lolol. Its already bad enough in RS3. No need to repeat again.

So you think that people should be able to make money no matter what? I'm telling you no matter what unless Jagex makes all rares untradeable, (which i think most of the community highly inadvises) people will just buy other's rares... that aren't so rare... until a fewer amount of people have even more gp than everyone else. If that makes sense.

In essence only way to stop rares from ever increasing in price would be to make them untradeable... or continuously add in rares, both of which will never happen ( I hope). This means that no matter what, rares at some time in the game are going to be worth millions, people need to realize this and act accordingly

I love the idea of rainbow and black phats. Black can match more stuff as well which is cool. I really dislike the idea of 2 sets of phats and 2 crackers. I think 2 crackers is plenty. I started Old School RS a week ago and have my phat set, so I don't think anyone should complain about them being too expensive. Even if they give everyone 2 phat sets, I will be there buying as many as possible until they are rightfully priced (200-600k each is fair for a phat imo). So please, just give 2 crackers per person, I think that is the most fair.

I dont see the reason you call me mercher when i have decent stats for slayer. Im waiting for slayer :( sad that people think the worst

I was refering to your post as in hurry up woth the polls..
I was calling all these people that want to try and make rainbow phats tradeable and want to cut back on how many are distributed merchers
