IMO, if party hats are cosmetic only, which has been stated here many times by both players and mods alike, then they shouldn't be tradeable at all. Releasing them every year will make them worthless anyway, so no need for them to be tradeable. And if they are continued to be referred to as "rares" also as stated by this blog, please make up your mind if they are "rares" or "cosmetics". Rare by definition means few, highly sought after, and valuable. All of which they will no longer be if re-released each year. To clear up confusion, please decide which they are.

I play RS3 and Old School. I'd like to see Old School go its own direction (pending player approval via votes ofc). Different skills, New bosses, new rares and discontinued items in which players can trade or sell, New quests. You are basically copying runescape3. Minus the interface and cb system.

Feedback -
As far as slayer updates go. Nicely Done! p
As far as rares go. Make em rare and be done with it. That was a fun part of 07.

Question - Why not make a new Christmas Event?

Question - Is going a whole new route even possible? new skills,slayer monsters maps, slayer areas? Different Pvm bosses? ( lets try something different )

At any rate, If we intend to copy rs3 (minus the interface and cb system), here are some suggestions.
-Rare drop tables for slayer tasks .
-Maybe existing pets that can carry 15 items . or increase invy slots ?
-Add some skilling bosses ? Evil Tree would be an example.
-Add the tool belt / money pouch.
-Add Kuradels Dungeon maybe?
-Add the GE so players can stop using zybz (varrock is all autotypers anyway)
-Rest stops to recharge run energy faster.

Just some suggestions.

Oh yeah - one question is about a vote recently held. It asked why people switched fromm rs3 to 07. There was no option for those who play both games. I didn't come to 07 and sit on a beach in catherby afk fishing while ragging jagex and rs3. I came as a fan of runescape. Why not include an option for those of us who play both?

Rares need to be rares no questions asked... I mean I'm an oldschool type of guy... And having rares like this is so unique from any other game I have played. This game will be huge eventually after all these constant amazing updates. There's only a few of us right now. We need to get these rares for the later generations that start playing this... To symbolize we were here first. We are the veterans of this game.

This game has a future and we need to set it right.

I don't know about anyone else but i loved runescape before they came out with eoc, if they make 07 hand for hand to pre-eoc i would love that best few years of my life.
i never agreed with some update in rs3 but i still played i quit when they changed the game totally

good stuff mods, i dont know about anyone else, but i want a gwd pet already. id go there for the pet more then the drops!armadyl/zamorak might be less common ones, coolest ones imo, though. definetly kree. raise the total level needed to vote, rs3 "people" get jealous of our stuff and downvote things they wish they had, like they did with trimmed questcape =/ make it like 500-700 imo. keep up the great work!

Do you think rs3 people really give a crap of what does pass and what doenst pass lol.. i'll tell you right now they dont. And they did raise the total level.

i never agreed with some update in rs3 but i still played i quit when they changed the game totally

if they made runescape 07 into runescape the day before eoc im pretty sure they'd have more people quit then actually come back to playing the game.. I for one will quit if that happens

I agree. Pre-Eoc had more players than Eoc and 07 combined. It was a healthy MMO. ALL aspects of the game were being utilized (Soul Wars, Warriors Guild, Stealing Creation, etc), and their was little dead content. Now.. both games just feel like watered down versions of what Rs was.

I think Rares Should be rare... no point in constantly adding, there are plenty in game now, and with prices going up it gives people more of a drive to grind away at stats to play, because honestly if there was no way to show off your wealth cosmetically, why play the game?

Half Serious Idea= Add maybe a decent Strength Bonus to the hat items, like Santas or Phats, that way there's a reason to have them

Not gonna lie i have a decent amount of Santa Hats, and to be honest i think that if people are smart enough to keep their items, then they should be rewarded... no more dropping rares... please jagex

im going to enjoy my 2 free santa hats and party hat sets this christmas by the way as well as the crash and look of despair on the greedy individuals that invested their banks in fun holiday items hoping to gain mass pixels
