I agree with roadrunners last post. But I don´t think broad bolts should have additional ranged strength bonus, even though I like the additional accuracy on slayer tasks.

I´m also scared that broad arrows will give too much experience like they did on the main game. They shouldn´t be used for fletching experience in my opinion.

Thanks for support, giving these new broad bolts a higher ranged strength makes them something more useful and therefor more desirable than normal bolts, something that they would need to have should tips be a drop from a slayer beast, slayer drops should have value.

If they were usable on all bolt types bronze through rune then they should be slightly stronger than the untipped version just as gemmed tipped bolts are slightly stronger than the base bolt, they should be more accurate on task because they are a slayer reward.

A bronze broad bolt should be better than a normal bronze bolt but weaker than a normal iron bolt and this would carry through for the higher bolts.
Ha ha, made you look ;)

I want to know what the hell happened in Jagex at the end of 2012. Since 2013 you guys have REALLY been on the ball about listening to your players and I gotta say, you've made 2013 my favorite year of RuneScape since 2006.
Keep up the amazing work guys.

If players want cheap ammo equal to adamant bolts to train with then they should get out their pick axes and hammers and make it for themselves or be prepared to buy it from one of those 1500 players who can make them.

THIS!

I dont want easyscape...isnt fletching aleady one of the easiest skills to get 99 in let alone 200 million xp when you start adding broad bolts to the mix.

Do we really have to repeat the past?

I liked the idea of the Time trials...but I can see why people 95+ would be against it considering the amount of xp they've already gained using the original rates. urgh..

It would be cool if you could add in the Time Trials somehow whilst balancing out the deal for those who have gained a significant amount of xp already.

Will their still be the option of getting a higher quantity of monsters per task though? Or has everything been scratched besides the slayer helm? I'm hearing different thing at this point. This is really the only update that impacts me as a slayer, and I've resubbed because of it (and GWD). I really hope the results aren't a disappointment because people decided to go ahead and down vote everything...

Personally the 2006 Christmas Event is one of my least favorite holiday events. The 2005 and the 2007 events were much better, in my opinion.

The 2006 Christmas event didn't feel like a Christmas event. It felt like a regular quest with a slight Christmas element tacked on to it. Really, if the sailor werewolf had been given any other name, it wouldn't be a Christmas event at all.

The 2005 event, on the other hand, was great. I loved putting together the puppets and colouring the ornaments in Diango's workshop, and talking to Rosie the pixie overseer. Granted she was a Character Filibuster, but I liked her. Sadly, since Varrock changed before 2007, I don't think the 2005 event is compatable with OSRS (at least, not without making LOTS of modifications so that the Varrock portion of it with the tree can fit in with the 2007 Varrock town square).

It also felt Christmasy. 'Diango's Little Helpers' was a fun track putting one in the mood for preparing for a festive occasion. And delivering the boxed puppets and ornaments gave me the sense that I was giving as well as receiving, which is what Christmas is all about.

The 2007 event was also really fun, introducing the Queen of Snow and the snow imps, and a bunch of fun snowman variants (my favorite being the pirate snowman). And 'Land of Snow' added to the atmosphere of remembering childhood days where snow seemed wonderful and magical (as opposed to something that blocks the road and traps our cars in our driveways).

It's sad that we can only have what is, to me, the LEAST Christmasy of the older Christmas events. The way things are going in RS3, there's not going to be a Christmas event there at all. So while I guess this is better than nothing, I would have liked to have had the 2005 or 2007 Christmas events instead. :(

So based upon feedback, it seems there is a mutual agreement that not getting two of every partyhat alongside two of all the other tradeable Christmas items is not the prefered idea.

So instead, we've gone back to the original drawing board plan and are ofeering two of every partyhat, an untradeable rainbow partyhat AND an untradeable Black partyhat. We'll throw the rainbow one in for good measure but you will not need to cut up any partyhats to make it and neither will it retain any street value, it'll just become another untradeable vanity 'rare'.

We've also looked at some of the slayer feedback and there's been some concern over the introduction of additional XP when completing a task quickly through time trial slayer. Instead, we'll go down the route of offering additional points and leave the XP rates exactly as they are.

We've also taken extra feedback on board and are adding the slayer gem to the slayer mask allowing you to right click the helmet to see how many kills you have left giving the helm the same options as the gem. This will be inclusive when building the helmet.

How does that sound?

Sounds great.

I thank thee kind sirs.
Isn't it strange that so many players blindly apply to clans, without ever wondering why there are openings in that clan?

i dont believe anyone actually agreed with broad arrowheads they are totally disgustingly op why did you only remove the slayer time trial xp handouts but you didnt remove the broad arrowheads from the poll yet.. they need to be removed stat, now. This is ridiculous.
