If you are altering random events in this manner then I hope you are working something else in to compensate for the many more bots that will appear(not that a large amount aren't already appearing by the minute).

I personally liked the old randoms, runescape used to be a somewhat difficult game, as playing it incorrectly or without paying much attention to it you'd get punished. This made it what it is and this is why I personally liked it.

It makes no sense to remove Classic content unless you really don't want Old School.
Go to any port and see where they sell seaweed-soda ash-bucket of sand-pineapples etc and you might find some answers.

Isn't runecraft pouch degration kind of a random event as well? I mean I have no idea why it is there except to slow down botters who can't cope with going to the abyss mage every few hours, thus ending up with broken pouches.

It's the same level of inconvenience as many random's distractions, except it cannot be evaded. Any chance of polling it to get removed too?

Edit: Before anyone points out that the Artisan poll included this effect for a set of robes failed - I know a LOT of people who simply voted 'no' on every question in that poll because they are against any major updates to osrs. Regardless, everything still received > 60% support so I'm hoping that when pouch degrading is presented as a random event it will receive > 75%.

i think you guys are forgetting that they are not completely removing randoms because they will still appear but it just gives you the choice of whether you want to speak to them or not which i think is good so there would still be randoms so it dosent ruin the game at all.

thank you at least someone actually reads the blog and understands it :) THEY ARE NOT REMOVING RANDOMS THEY ARE JUST GIVING YOU AN OPTION TO IGNORE THEM.
