Yay for more quests. :) Given the very little amount of content after Tombs of Amascut, I was kind of expecting The Path of Glouphrie to be released; but perhaps that'll happen later.

At any rate, thanks for keeping the details of the quests a secret. It's much more fun not knowing anything about a new quest until release day, I think. That said, the entire blog reads like an April Fools joke, as some have remarked. I'm not sure what the intention was, but it isn't really working... Future update hints are best left to the chaos elemental in a postbag.

As for updating some quest rewards, it's important to make a distinction between master and grandmaster quests. A master quest surely won't reward 100k xp in a any skill, but 20-50 is very realistic. Looking at Dragon Slayer 2 or Monkey Madness 2, for example, those rewards definitely aren't commensurate with the difficulty of the quests or their requirements and could/should very well be buffed.

Just voted in this poll and the experience felt hollow.

I understand the benefit of polling an idea to get the greenlight is meant to allow for more freedom but the whole poll was dull. The worse part was knowing the poll percentage is now less made every question feel unimportant.

The transparency and player power that Old School RuneScape was built on has already started to fade.

I know this will fall of deaf ears that work at a snails pace but you need to act now otherwise the goodwill and trust forged over the games lifetime will disappear, along with the players much like it did a decade ago.
RIP Forums :(
Finally we have signatures in the surprise forum update. I'm Lewis, I play Old School & I've been playing since 2005.

On the up side I'm always a fan of new quests coming into the game. The whole twisted tales idea felt cool but only a few have been released. It'll be cool to see if these pass and get released. RIP Forums :(

Jagex you need to stop and think about what yall are doing. Keeping stuff a secret... do yall not remember how yall kept this game alive? By letting the players choose what they want with their game??? Is this the direction we are going to take now? Lowering poll % and keeping the updates secret? With all the games in the industry right now completely betraying their loyal fanbase and customers you really want to kill what gave you the edge over the competition?

Please don't hide details of a poll. The news post sounds all over the place and the idea of asking something as broad as "do you want a new quest?" without more information seems like it's a way to sneak something in that wouldn't normally pass a poll even if that isn't you intent .

I think it's even more important to be explicit with something like a Master level quest which tend to be more lore oriented and long-reaching.

I didn't play RS before OSRS but from everything I hear much of the "bad stuff" came from updates that were too liberal with what they changed. If you don't want players to abandon the game, stick with the process that's worked so far.

When the choice comes down to either no update or an update with too little information (wrapped in a poorly articulated news post), I'll take no update.

"Be able to poll content much earlier in the design process and avoid spending development time that could be better used elsewhere"
- The Old school team, 7 days ago.

And here we are on the first poll after the changes, where information about potential content is purposely held back, along with some "mystery" to intrigue people to vote yes(?).
Do you see the problem here? If this passes now we better hope it's good enough for the next poll, otherwise I'd almost call it self sabotage.

As for the combat achievements, the changes are far to powerful, to that extent it's content players will be forced to do.

The newspost is all over the place, if we want more of the players to get involved in polling as discussed in the last twitch stream, this is certainly not the way.

Now I'm all in for new quests and I don't mind the polling changes, but this is not the way ;)

Absolutely no to any new skills. Don’t ruin the game like what happened with RS3

Why exactly would new skills be a bad thing?

Whilst RS3 has made some very bad decisions (in my opinion), there have also been great updates. Before RS3 even, Summoning was a great addition to the game and Dungeoneering, until EoC at least, was a wonderful ‘minigame’. Divination needed a few years to become useful and fun to train and Invention is, perhaps, somewhat special. Archæology, though... it's probably my favourite update in the last couple of years. Have you tried it? It's enormously fun to play and I have very few criticisms with it.
