This is going to fail.

As an after-thought, those additional questions will also have many fail due to the fact that a large portion of those things will either be dead content on arrival or are over-powered or totally useless.

You can find my complete feedback here .

This is what the game needs in its current state:

A new skill - Yes, but Artisan is not the right skill.

Elite Pvm - Mod Reach has expressed a huge interest in this and has already begun multiple projects. PvM is currently too easy and not rewarding enough! I CAN without question solo every boss back to back, given that I gear myself properly.

Improved Drop Tables - New armors/weapons and consumables that keep each other in check, so that none is over powerful. How do you expect growth in the game if we are too afraid to add new items? Seriously? Instead of continuing to over power the weapon system; add armors and consumables to combat them!

Raids - Mod Reach has posted concept art on adding WoW style raids! This is a terrific idea and should be prioritized immediately! Elite dungeons that are hard and demand high level players to PvM in groups is an amazing idea! This can revolutionize PvM for the best and combat the main game. DAN GET WORKING ON THIS!!!

Notice a trend? Quests are great, but not crucial at the moment. PvP is garbage and each attempt to fix it only moves the player base from "Point A To Point B!" In other words: To revive PvP you kill other content. You're not adding any new players to the game! What we need is a game to advertise. So add challenging PvM and fun combat mechanics. Raids could even have mid level content and rewards that this game so lacks. Even untradable items that you have to earn. This is from a business perspective.

I really like this skill and want to see it pass. A couple of things I would change are the tradeable nature of artisan tools-- I think they should be earned and enjoyed by those who have trained the skill and become "artisans".

The fillets are pretty weak, most likely because if they gave a guaranteed or full-strength effect there would be an OP riot. I think they could be buffed a bit without major issues to the game.

So many want to see parts of artisan added to existing skills. but I believe that artisan is a skill in its own right. EVERYBODY loves slayer and artisan is quite clearly a skiller's version of it. It sounds perfectly enjoyable and balanced to me.

I think that people need to breathe and take a step back. Oldschool Runescape should have the oldschool feel, and it does. It is meant to be its own game, separate from rs3 and not limited to what actually existed in 2007. New content keeps people interested, and as far as skills go, I know you'd be hard-pressed to find a better idea. We've covered all of the simple, practical skills and artisan is an equally practical addition. It's not gonna ruin the game, and if you don't like it you don't have to train it. Slayer isn't required for any major pvm or quests, I'm sure artisan will behave the same way. I REALLY don't see why so many players have such a doomsday attitude about every update...be open-minded and enjoy the game .
