I think the idea could be cool but would need to be handled very delicately.

One huge point is skills. They either can't be trained on this new content, or must have worse XP rates then the main/default continent. If you add better methods it will make the normal continent dead content, at which point it's not even oldschool anymore. Furthermore, I have grown quite tired of over the years working tirelessly on a skill for it to become **** easy a few months later. Runecrafting, 'nuff said.

This new content would have to be more focused on being fun and interesting then skill or functionality. Things like new bosses or mini-games would be totally fine as long as they don't run into skills. More of a new world to explore, new fights, tons of new cosmetics. Maybe even clue scrolls that can only be found on that continent and only completed on that continent.

It can still be an amazing place to go and have a good time, but if it makes the main continent dead content or replaces skill methods, a lot of people will be against it. If it does pass due to people being unaware of the full extent of that, a lot of people will be on their way out the door once it comes out, and I would sadly be one of those people.

This isn't an idle threat, or me trying to create a debate or argument, I simply wanted to get ahead of this and define that it would be an issue, and would really effect the future of the community.

I'm not totally against the idea of skills on the new continent to be clear, not even close. It just needs to be handled very smartly, xp rates need to be almost exactly on par with the current best methods or worse, simple.

Examples of valid skills on the new continent:
Farming patches, with equal farm run times.
Hunting new animals but with equal xp rates as current best.

An bad example would be making skills afk-able. That creates so much dead content, it's so bad for the game. Hope you guys see this and agree. Look forward to more awesome suggestions.

Just another comment aswell, firemaking has always been somewhat of a useless skill in all honesty, what does anyone really get out of the skill? maybe with this new update there could be a lot more to do with the skill to make it have some meaning to the game.

we should fill existing ''black holes'' first like darkmeyer

I'll be removing the black map-squares and filling them out with the project anyway. Having 3/4 map squares for Prifddinas for example is just stupid, not to mention those around Darkmeyer.

Of course we love the idea of new areas to explore! But i must remind you once again. DO NOT make the same mistaks again that you did in the past. Any update is welcome other then the ones that make great achievements eazier to get. aka vines. and the such.

I am hoping you will take some of the good content you did release and rerelease it in a good solid way. Remember we dont give 2 poops about gfx's. we do give 2 poops about fps. (smoking kills) (smoking kills) cough cough....

i would like to see dragon pick axe, and Woodcutting axe again. Also i think All God Swords should have a 99 str requirement tbh. anywho thats just me but other then that i realy dont have much to say. you guys got it right.

Oh thats it. To be honest. I LOVED the content that was extra, like a skillers reward from the skill DUNGEONERRING. Now that was some usefull caves. Is their a way to bring that part back in some way? Hell just bring dung back. Make a vote please? i just realy like the fact you did a realy good job on dung. and the rewards where amazing. Coal bag? **** yes. And it allowed clan members in multiple parties of 4 have fun. If anyone has any thing they would like to add in regards to what i recommend then please feel free.

Also the "New" dueal area idea with roman artc. is awesom idea. Just remember one thing. "STAKING" is the biggest thing at the dueal area.
"clan v clan" stake? offical honorable staking 1v1? just start to dream :D

Without wax,
sith

I am thinking back to 2006 when I first ever joined runescape and what made it so appealing to me!

- I loved the fact that there was so many people playing the game and because a lot of new people were also joining around this time many people talked to each other and I made many friends. People of today dont seem to know or want to talk to each other anymore and it can be rather lonesome on your own which can make the game seem rather boring. I don't know what but in this new content I would like to see some team oriented things that require communication between players.

- Castle wars!! back when I was a feeble F2P player my friend was a member and showed me castle wars on his account and even let me have a go! This was enough to sell me the game and I went home straight away and begged my parents for membership! Castle wars has lost its interest since as there is no real reward at the end of it. Maybe in this new content will have some mini game similar to castle wars with a fairly good reward at the end?

- FLAX! wow, I know the sounds interesting but hear me out, as a new member the idea of making money from such a simple method really appealed to me! obviously flax no longer appeals to me but the point of new methods to build a bank does!

- Special attack! When joining as a member I couldn't wait to get my dragon longsword and test out the special attacks! I also can't wait for new weapons with amazing special attacks to explore in this new content! ;) - On this point i would also like to add that anytime you have added new weapons they seem to be sky high prices, what happened to dragon longsword prices?? not everybody in runescape has hit the millions!

this is mainly the point that I would like to add! I WANT SOME NOSTALGIA! make this new update bring back my childhood!

Thankyou for reading,
