Reporting absolutely does work, we just receive so many reports that it might sometimes take a bit of time to get to yours.

I've taken care of those two for you :D

I know reporting works :) Always has done. (Will you get to my reports? I've reported hundreds of people (all legitimate) hurts me to see so many bots playing and ruining the economy) :(

I think it is great that you are banning a lot of bots. However when I see ppl like Blackfire reporting over 500 a day I have to wonder if they are all bots. I am lvl 3 in 07 and wanted to have a skiller account on 07 but am just afraid it is just asking to be falsely banned. On my main on hlf it seemed ppl got into reporting others pre eoc as a way to gain ranks. If ppl are really botting by all means ban them. Please just make sure not to
falsely ban ppl who are innocent. I was falsely banned on my main in 07 and then unbanned a few days later. The experience I don't want others to go through.

I've actually seen two wannabes in the banks telling each other to report certain people because if the two of them report, Jagex will take more notice and realise they are bots (even if they're not).

Reporting is something to be taken very seriously, and done carefully. These are not just names on a screen - most of them are real people, whose lives do actually become affected when wrongly accused. We need to be pretty sure before clicking that red button!

btw @Blackfire327 - I am curious... if you report like 400 in a day, how long do you take to watch the individual people to make sure they are actually bots, because I know that it takes me a good while to keep an eye on someone to be sure. I am not sure I could ever report that amount of people and be sure each report was accurate. Hats off to you for your attempts to stop this infernal problem, but it does make me curious as to how you ensure each report is accurate. Rav3n :-)

Sooo .. let's summarize how the amazing Bot Watch system works ..


- same bots, reported for weeks, are still botting (ruining the gameplay, ruining the economy .. old facts we all know for so many years)

- legitimate players being banned due to *mistakes*, and waiting for days or weeks for their appeals to be addressed

- players trying to get others banned just because they are bored or simply morons and find this *funny*

- skillers been afraid to play (I'm a skiller myself, having a maxed character in EoC - and being forced to leave the game because of that monstruosity called EoC!! - I wanted to try a different approach of the game; and now not only is barely impossible to train in any accessible (for a lvl 3) spot due to bots, but I'm afraid of being *mistakenly* banned)

- Jagex praising themselves on how good, great, astonishing, caring for the community, responsible, eager to take down goldfarmers and bots owners they are (oh my, I just realised how much this sounds like .. north-koreean propaganda !!)

Everything is so familiar .. after Gower left, only money seemed to matter for the actual managers of GerhardScape .. doesn't matter how many real players are leaving the game, they can always count on at least an equal number of bots replacing them .. and after so many years of lies and continuosly going down in the quality of the game, some of players are still browning their nose .. *oh, Jagex, dear Jagex, you are so great, Jagex ..*

Come to w 352, castle wars, and ban those 3 runecrafting bots I've been reporting in the last couple of weeks as well? I'm sick and tired of reporting them, closing doors only to see how they are running into walls, then finding them hours or days later in the same place??

Or maybe come to Gnome Stronghold and ban the dozens of yew bots with 80+ woodcutting and 1 in all other skills?

It surely would be nice to be able to chop more than one single log before the trees go down ..

I AM agree with you i gett this same probleme now in this game my main ARE : Sandrine x/New name: Frannk420..

I need to get a membership for this acc for posting in forum ...i got kicked from the server 07 rs 21days for no reason for the offence ( macroing) AND I NEVERS USSING THAT ..

That a big probleme that happenings in THE APRIL MONTHS for many INONCENT players who DONT USING A macro.

PLEASE IF ANY1 know how i can get unbbaned my account in the 7 day lefts i got i trying on accounhelp@*******.*** or parents********.*** and still not work ... i have MAKE 2 APPEAL OFFENCE for ea others banning i get and still nothing .. after 14 days no response ...

Are you joking? i still see bots daily... If you realy banned 21k bots on 2 weeks there must be at least be a 100k more according to me. We pay for a bot free game so pleas don't be ******* and realy start banning bots.

6 days left on my macro ban and i aint no macro.. on the day i was banned i quested for 15 hours straight and if quest can be botted then ill wear dirty underwear on my head for a month

Please can you post the locations so Jagex can actually action them then? They do actively ban them, and if you aren't seeing a difference I would strongly advise you tell Jagex the locations so they can do something.

All's well in you saying you don't see a difference, but there is quite a difference in some areas. Please
tell them
where you see bots, and I expect they will get around to it. Alot of time goes into banning the bots, and there are teams dedicated to doing it. If you see lots in an area, try to let Jagex know *
where
* they are.
