I'm glad to hear this, especially the bit about longevity, cost and bots. But what are you going to do about all the players that were wrongfully banned? I've canceled my account because I have yet to be contacted by customer service, despite the fact I've emailed them weeks ago. If I can't even talk to a real person and be compensated for the time I lost despite never botting or macroing, I don't see why I should play a game where I can be arbitrarily banned with no way to appeal or talk to customer service.

This. I have found you can actually be logged into the EoC lobby (but can't get ingame) while being also logged into 07, but just having EoC clan chats in 07 would be much better. Wow! I did not know this!! This'll definitely do, thanks so much! xD

Keep two windows open, play a game with randoms in one and then switch back to keep up with chat? Sounds like a great way to die a lot. Nope.. want that real clan chat. That other way is only a way to check in.. not remain in chat with clan mates while playing.

Great news pips.

Even though free to play worlds were voted for Mat K, they seem very unpopular, i think that it would be a good idea to have those two worlds opened to free to play players from the main game, even just as a trial basis, to allow them to see what old school is.

Some people may never have played this version, yet find it enjoyable. Thus maybe creating a second account so they have EOC and an OSRS account, possible money generator there.

It would be good to see those worlds hitting 1500+ in peak times, opening it up to f2p main game players would be awesome, plus, you can add advertising to those servers aswell as what you currently do in the main game.

Just a thought.

The reason F2p servers won't really flourish, is if the people playing it are members, so they don't need to rely on trades, as all they need to do is hop worlds and pay cheaper prices, or obtain items themselves.

If the people on it can't access members servers, they'll depend a lot on members providing weapons and armour and even food in some cases, which will help maintain a healthy market.

However a captcha of some sorts could be added on the f2p worlds, perhaps to deter botting, and encourage membership 'By having full membership, you will not be subject to Captchas' etc etc. Mod Sayln: 22.10.16 - It was working as intended

Great news!

I'm aware that you have stated f2p is not an option currently. Having said that I would just like to state my support for f2p being introduced. It would be a great advertisement and encourage growth. If this team were to sacrifice some short-term income for the games long-term health, it would be a HUGE step in the right direction.

Happy Happy Joy Joy!!!!! Thank you so so much for this wonderful news and for letting us all know the things that Jagex is doing in the constant bot vegillance and updates. I know myself and others worried that osrs might not be perm or that the price would go up. Yep doing the woot dance over this news :)

Greatest news I've seen so far for Old School Runescape. Could not have done it without the help of the Jmods and the team that works on 07 scape, and especially the community. Thanks so much guys, and I'm looking forward to the future as the community grows.
