Do you remember why you released OSRS? So players like me can enjoy nostalgic memories playing the OLD runescape. How am i to do this if you keep persisting about adding NEW content to an OLD SCHOOL game.
If we thought the game would keep running happily for years without us needing to do any dev work, that'd be mighty convenient and cheap. However, while there are those who don't want new content, there are also a lot of players - all over these forums - who keep asking for more new things. That's why we let the community as a whole vote on whether the new content should be added.
I can understand players wanting new things but i thought thats what RS3 was for. I just feel like i keep spending time on a game i enjoy and then it gets updated to the point where its no longer fun to me because of unbalance. And since my old school character is now an RS3, my work for all my combat/slayer was robbed. I just feel likte thats happening again. Maybe you guys could do some elaborate thing to keep both sides happy (which i would greatly apreciate)
1. After GWD is released, your account becomes 2 seperate copies, for 2 versions.
2. Version 1 is the game right now after GWD is released
3. Version 2 is the game right now after GWD is released AND it will continually be updated upon request of players on forums.
4. Doing anything on one version will not affect the other. The logins for these will be like RS3/OSRS logins seperate page same email and pass.
5. Your accounts stats from the game would be left off on both versions so you can decide which one you like.
This would make it so the game that stops getting updated holds up to the name "Old School RuneScape", and the other can be called "Old School Advanced" or something. This in my opinion seems like it would really cater to both crowds and keep your long term veterans happy. Tell me your thoughts on this please.
