I'm not ignoring it's usability as accuracy ignoring. 37.5 "guaranteed" damage over a minute is abysmal compared to other options. Which is my main complaint. Let's say I have a 1 in 5 chance of hitting something with a whip. I hit once and do 10 damage. The zombie hits for 7.5~, making me do 17.5 damage. Or I could take a dose of super combat and do 1 in 4 or 1 in 3. I hit twice for a total of 20. However, my melee has a much higher range, from 0-30. I could potentially hit for 0 or 150 and the super combat makes 150 more likely. The zombie will likely hit for 5-15. My whole point is that it isn't viable for its current purpose because the damage isn't enough for the duration. We have a limited inventory for bossing, and if it's one more thing to bring in whether in tablet or rune form, we have to sacrifice something. Would I rather have this than another super combat? Would I rather have this than another prayer pot? Would I rather trade out my rune pouch for this rather than high alch? Super combat lasts 1 minute at max efficiency. You only get a minute for resurrect zombie at 99 magic. But at 99 magic, why are you using resurrect zombie? Maybe I'm wrong and this spell is way more viable than I think it is, but I honestly just feel like there's so little occasion to use it, that I would consider reworking it if I was a game developer. Especially considering the WHOLE POINT of this update was to make the arceuus spellbook actually usable.

You're missing the point again. It's a support spell; it's not meant to be compared to other options, it's in addition to other options. You can still drink a super combat and slaughter your opponents, but with a helpful little buddy to make it even quicker. The damage the thralls do is not supposed to be comparable to the damage a player can do.

As for the inventory space, I guess it just would depend on whether or not that particular boss/whathaveyou was within convenient walking distance to a bank, making the time saved by thralls outweigh slightly more frequent bank trips. It's the same as deciding whether or not to bring a dwarf multicannon, except I'm sure thralls will be allowed in places the cannon isn't and vice versa.

This is a smaller part of the recent update, but one I noticed: change in music locations. As someone who has OSRS music on much of the time, I find it odd and noticeable. It is nice to make connections of music to a particular place . For example, teleporting into Lumbridge and hearing flute salad is just weird. Same thing could be said to many frequently traveled locations (Varrock, Falador, Wildy spots, etc.). The Wilderness is one of the worst offenders: I teleported to Deserted Keep from Edgeville lever and got a different song every time! I recognize the change gives a bit more variety, but it goes against keeping the "old school" character and I don't think this was ever polled . I would much rather have songs associated with specific areas. Why is this needed when we hear such a large variety of songs as it is, and you can always manually select a song or turn off music to prevent it replaying over and over again? In other words, I don't see why it was needed in the first place. I support reverting to what it was before or making it toggle-able. Please!

Hello, the update for "Death in the Clan Wars free-for-all arena no longer removes PK skulls, for consistency with Clan Wars challenge battles." has also made it so you cannot remove your skull in your player owned home via dungeon! Please fix this!

My dog and cat are jealous that I can pet virtual animals instead of them, but don't worry, I still think its awesome.

There are lot of awesome changes here! I appreciate the sequential quest order, attention to the music system, simpler set of reanimation spells, accessible hitsplats, resurrection spells that support player damage instead of replacing it, etc. Good job! :D

I am very happy that there is a bit of love going towards updating the backend of the music of oldschool, so thank you for that.

I don't mind that there could be tracks played on the loop from a similar area and all, but could this be something that is toggleable? Personally I like the music to be used for that exact area only.

Lastly, i have put in numerous Bug Reports about a bug that happens when teleporting to my POH, the incorrect music is played, this is because my house is at Rellekka. I hear "Saga" instead of "Home Sweet Home" while in the house after teleporting.

Every time i use the teleport to POH it sounds like I'm entering viking land but just want to hear the nice jingle of the house music.

Not sure if you are already aware of this bug or if it is fixed in the meantime. But when creating teletabs in the poh (at least in your own, couldn't test it in others houses) you only get a part of the exp that you should get. 3exp instead of 30exp for house tabs.

Someone else already confirmed that it seems this is broken for all tabs.

Totally agree with you. I dont wanna hear wilderness music just north of falador. I dont want lumbridge swamp music at the farms. It just doesnt fit. Some songs are okay. It's okay that music changes when the initial track is finished, but please let the first track that plays be the one that should be unlocked in that chunk initially. Also, i dont like to unlock 10 tracks at once then i'm walking into a new area. i want to have that option. I'm not getting that option too, and the joy i had in OSRS was partly because it didnt have 10 music tracks in 1 chunk like RS 3 has.

A shuffle button in the music playlist was a better and more important change to be done in my opinion. Hopefully jagex can make this music change optional instead of forced.


yea i agree with this, i see the problem jagex was trying to fix but i don't like the solution

instead what i would do is let the current track continue until done EVEN IF you leave the area. that way songs don't flip annoyingly back and forth
plz add a new skill

The music update for OSRS breaks the immersion of the game. Please go back to how it was: a specific track for a specific part of the map. Or at least give us the option to do so. it really doesn't feel the same!! I dont want the track yesteryear or Dream when I am in lumbridge castle it not the same feeling and it just feels super wrong. I hope someone takes this recommendation to heart. Music is one of the most important aspects in the game and in life in general.
