I support the idea of having ONLY a targeting system with NO added drops like brawlers/statuettes, etc. We don't need any further factors to cause the devaluation of coins.
For all the crying pkers though who say pking is difficult and hardly profitable.... not all the pkers are saying that. Give it some thought. And if pking isn't for you, just find something else to make bank with. Simple as that.
To MODS : BE STRONG AND DON'T LISTEN TO THE CRYBABYS!
They are part of the community, but we can't let the majority suffer because of a spoiled minority. Keep up the good work!
At present, PvM supports PvP quite nicely. Drops such as the Kraken Tentacle, Abyssal Whip and even Godswords are of great benefit to PvP'ers and as such, keeps PvM popular as there constant rewards keeping up the incentive to PvM.
In the opposite direction, I feel there is very little PvP is doing to support the wider game. Currently, you keep what you kill, if you kill, even if you kill someone with virtually nothing. It doesn't sound very rewarding! (unless you just like killing people for nothing.) I'm of the impression that additional incentives for PvP are to make up for the lack of demand for anything worthwhile when killing another player. Unfortunately, as the blog indicates, if we introduce statuettes that arbitrarily drop when killing other players, we lead to a hyper-inflated market which leads to the rapid descent of various areas of the game - Something we want to strictly avoid.
The Bounty Hunter target system was designed to find you a target in a vast area. If you killed your selected target, their loot was yours and you could leave. Otherwise, if you ignored your target and killed someone else, you were then given a 3 minute 'penalty' and unable to leave the arena until the penalty had gone. When PvP worlds were introduced, the same target system was used with additional rewards added for killing your target. We want to keep the target system exactly as it was in Bounty Hunter as part of the problem, we feel, with PvP right now is that we have two popular areas for PvP and are now offering a 3rd. Finding a target in a segregated community would be very difficult.

Support with preference:
Cosmetic rewards better be pretty sweet if they're the only incentive offered.
If they aren't then I really have no reason to bother with fighting someone potentially many levels higher than myself. Why would I do that when I can control so much more by just going to a regular pvp/wildy world.
DEFINITELY VERY VERY FEW WORLDS FOR THIS
I believe the bh system would really only be a detriment to the wilderness if it were implemented on all worlds. I have some buddies that like to skill in the wildy and as it stands they go toe to toe with pkers on a regular basis. Having a system that would allow pkers to zero in on them with such ease would probably drive most skillers straight out of the wilderness and in the long run really just damage pvp. Making them easier targets than they already are... Would not really be good for any1.
I'm sure developers realize that if this minigame is a bust it's just going to hurt an already ailing pvp environment. I know a lot of players disagree with a rewards system, but I cannot remember a time when the wilderness was more active than when the ep system (even with the boring wait time for %ep) was running. I just don't understand why people would want this system at all without SOME kind of reward. You gain- the ability to find a fight? I believe this isn't even an issue unless you're just looking to gun down defenseless skillers.
+1 Worlds
I still believe that at least one 75-150k minimum risk +1 world would be a huge addition to the current pvp environment. The players that don't like being 1 item'd can go there and use their favorite item without fear of being smited. They can fight and win/lose a pk set or two and work towards their bh cosmetic rewards. The players that enjoy 1 iteming can stick to normal worlds and not blast away pray pots and food of players who are really looking to compete. The idea of fighting opponents with equal risk is extremely appealing to me, and I'm sure many others agree.
Maybe there could be a point system like slayer and the ability to imbue you berserker gloves to give 5-10% damage on your target. Also the ability to get 5 keys in the wildy gwd and other things like that.
Well gf old school player vs player content jagex gave up on us.
I really hope this never sees the light of day and you all stop being such high strung idiots. No bonus loot for pking? Im so happy pking strength amulets off all the people in pvp worlds thats so fun thanks jagex

"I've been playing since 2006 but jagex made me quit 11/20/2013"
if youre so worried that giving extra rewards to target drops will hurt the economy then why not add a drop that wont? Perhaps new pvp armor and weapons that can only be dropped by killing your target. (vestas, statuis, zuriels, morrigans)
