I haven't really played OSRS for a couple of months now, only logging in every once in a while to merch and talk to friends. However, this thread has really excited me about old school Runescape again! The PvP worlds were one of my favorite things about OSRS and something I was very sad to see go in 2012 when the wilderness was re-introduced. If this system were put back in to place with significant rewards for training in PvP locations I think many players would be again excited about 2007 RuneScape. However, with the introduction of minigames such as Wilderness Tags and PvP Worlds, it's important to remember that we need a money-sink also to be introduced, possibly in the PvP worlds. That is one of the reasons why the RS economy was doing so well during the PvP Worlds era. They were a great money-sink, which offered exciting opportunities of good rewards. All-in-all, I would love to see Wilderness Tags, PvP Worlds, and GWD introduced into Old School RuneScape, but with the introduction of so much GP, we would definitely need significant money-sinks to combat this*

tldr;

1. PvP Worlds would re-excite players (especially PKers) who are becoming bored of 2007scape.
2. Wilderness Tags and GWD look pretty exciting as well.
3. With the introduction of these GP generating activities, it is very important to the economy of OSRS to balance it out with a money sink of some sort, such as the money-sink of the old PvP worlds.

What should we do?

We should do EVERYTHING you guys just mentionned. These ideas are pure awesomeness, I am more than happy to read about this.

Few important things I need to share:
- Maybe we should not put tags in every world, because then it would become too easy or not worth it.

- Let's have only 1 PvP world at first, I don't want it to end like runescape in 2010 in which anyone could train anywhere because there were only 150 players on a pvp world. Brawler gloves as a reward is nice, but the question is how is it gonna work? I don't want people abusing of that. (Samething with statuettes)

- Transforming some of the godswords in staves is a great idea, but make sure they don't become overpowered like the armadyl battlestaff, ya know.

-The Kraken along with the dragon warhammer is also a great idea.

I'm very pleased with this blog, for once it feels like JaGeX thinks like I do. :)

Pvp worlds would be nice again, no need for ep. Just allow pvp world related items to be dropped at a rare chance, only if the person your killing has a decent risk (alch value of combined over 100k+.

GWDS I liked. However it wasn't too fun in 2007 without summoning, it was bank, kc, kill a few times, repeat. Rather boring. Runescape being the Medieval game it is, the question is: Does GWD really fit? No.

I think something totally different should be made, perhaps something to follow the medieval theme? I heard talks of the kraken, which seems it would fit in great.
Follow monsters such of those in the era would seem more logical and fitting to the overall game play.

1. Wildy Tag - I feel like this would be a great idea that would keep the wilderness boosted. Maybe restrict the number of worlds it could be played on though? This way players would be forced into knowingly risking the rewards on a highly populated wilderness!
2. PvP Worlds - My full support! My only idea would be to have a PJ timer for during and immediately following the conclusion of a fight. I hope this timer would be implemented into every other world for the wilderness as well, I do not see any meaningful drawback of this system.
3. Clan Wars - I would probably not use this feature, and I do know it was rather important in lots of lures... Iffy about it, I will have to read more posts on pros/cons.
4. The God Wars Dungeon - Also has my full support, although I would love to see it tweaked! Everyone here has probably played the only GWD in the pre-EOC version, so why not mix it up a little bit? Maybe take the EOC idea of Armadyl crossbows? Maybe change the Sara Sword drop into a Sara Staff with a special attack? Or maybe make Zamorak boss drop a magic staff with a similar special attack as the old godsword, Aramdyl drop a crossbow with a similar special attack as the old godsword, and keep Bandos and Saradomin similar to the old versions. Maybe even introduce some Saradomin Magic armor? After all, Bandos has melee armor and Armadyl has ranged armor! As for the requirements, maybe 75 attack for the godswords, 80 magic for the staff, and 80 range for the crossbow? As for the staff, I know we can't have a powerful magic staff that can be used as a melee weapon without melee requirements, but it won't be nearly as powerful as the godswords so 75 attack doesn't make sense. Depending on the melee attributes, maybe 60 attack to wield is appropriate. (or no melee attributes?)
5. Kraken, etc. - I would love for any completely original content to be released because it would really make the game feel player driven as well as giving a completely new feel to this game :)

I like all of the new ideas, but most of all I like that you guys are trying to add in stuff that never happened in RS3, like nightmare zone and wildy tag. Some stuff like GWD would be great, but I think it's more important to focus on making OSRS less like RS3.

ive never been too big of a pker or do i really go bossing, but i feel that gwd/pvp worlds were essential to the entire community and were a very good update. With brawlers it gave skillers new potential and faster ways to gain xp, while increasing profit from those who make and distribute food/potions by increasing demand. For pvm it opens an entire new are full of different monsters to attack which could help with the slayer skill considering hellhounds are only in a few places and one of them is the wild. And for PVP/PVM the bosses would open up a new assortment of weapons and the pvp worlds would strictly give them more and innovative ways to play the game. All around it still benefits everyone. On the matter of changing stuff i say leave it the same... d boots will be 2-3m for a few weeks and rune boots will still be about 100-200k ~hunting for noon lootz~

The main change I want to see from GWD is regarding dragon boots. I'd like it so that they either aren't dropped by Spiritual Mages and give them to a different, stronger high-level slayer only monster or make Spiritual Mages stronger and a high-level slayer only monster. That should make dragon boots pretty valuable and not as easy to get while not destroying rune boots. Maybe make dragon boots as rare as whips too.
