This sounds awesome. I love the fact that you're willing and able to create content for us, despite not having the proper tools. It's refreshing to see the level of dedication OSRS is receiving from our team and my faith in Jagex is slowly being restored.

I do have a question about the next poll, however. Currently, the news on the OSRS homepage is only shown through the Twitter feed, which hasn't loaded in over a week on OSRS or other sites around the web on any browser or device. Why is it that the news is not posted directly to the site, instead of only through an embedded Twitter feed? Also, will it be fixed before the next poll, or will another way of posting news be implemented? It seems to me that the next poll may not get a fair vote, seeing as some people won't be aware of it unless they know where else to look online. At the very least, there should be a "can't see the news, click here" link.

The gameplay itself sounds good, but offering consumables as rewards still seems dreadfully underwhelming - especially given that over 2/3 of the players voted in favor of level 65 armor sets (and several other things got 64% approval or higher).

The only reason I got over 1500 dominion tower kills in the regular game is because I actually enjoyed the unique rewards it offered. If the only options available had been stuff like flax and blue dragon scales, I never would have given any time to it.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that, in my opinion, it just isn't possible for a minigame which offers only financial rewards to be sufficiently attractive without unbalancing the game in some way. Unique, untradeable rewards are what works best. Preferably ones which degrade over time, so it's required that people return. It's a shame under 1/3 of the players were able to block this from happening in the last poll, so I'm really hoping we can vote on it again quite soon.

Oh, and one random other thing - It would be cool if this could be used as a tool for introducing some more difficult/interesting monsters from 2008-2012 into OSRS, such as tormented demons. Maybe they could be only available to people with 220+ quest points, I don't know.

Edit : I would also still kill for that inventory update mentioned that you (I believe) made in 2009 (@Ash), if it was ever somehow possible with the game we currently have. Not sure if it was only possible after runetek 5 (or whatever that was) but yah. The dead clicks still kill me inside.

Edit2 : Sorry if it seems like I post nothing but negative feedback, it's only cuz nothing else seems important or useful. This still sounds really good and all that.

Edit3 : Agreed with guy below

I can understand how much effort you guys have put into this and i really appreciate you spending your time, this looks amazing given the tools you had to make it, but unfortunately this doesn't take us away from the fact 1/3 of your member base are playing this game but 98% of your attention is focused towards the "main" game.

I feel we deserve to have a lot more developers on the game i mean come on Jagex were not long ago boasting how they have recruited loads of new people and their staff are sitting well over 100 people, we are paying member to and i feel we are being treated like crap.

Thanks for an awesome update!
So, onto the GWD topic again.
What you've got as of now is an old copy of god wars,
But you don't have the tools to actually make it work?
are you currently working on fixing this?

Great job so far guys.
Keep it up!

Original message details are unavailable.
"A merchant, standing near the respawn points, will offer to sell you various untradeable items that are commonly lost on death, saving you from having to visit obscure characters to obtain replacements."

How much would the items cost? That'd better be 10,000+ gp for each item. In Runescape, it's either easy or cheap, not both (or at least in Old School Runescape).

Another question:

How difficult (let's say in scale from 1 to 10) would it be to add a toggle option to hide those merchants in every respawn point? Although I'm OK with the merchants, I'm not really looking forward to seeing custom NPCs when I walk in Lumbridge just to make the game easier for others, and will be voting no.

If toggles were used always when possible, fewer people would vote no and poll questions would be more likely to pass.

::togglemerchants would be the best option, but if it requires the engine team, you could use the Doomsayer (which is already used for toggles).
