In future will there be the possibility getting a map editor for OSR to enable new kinds of updates whether it be another minigame or small quests?
Are there any projects you'd be particularly interested in such as the possibility of Clan Wars?

We hope so. We've spoken to the tools developers about what would need to be changed in the RuneScape map editor to make it work on 2007-format maps. That team's been expanded dramatically in the last few weeks, and I'm optimistic that when they've cleared their current priorities we'll get a bit more OldSchool time from them.

Clan Wars is a relatively popular topic in the Feedback forums. I'd be totally up for offering you more PVP stuff, either like that or in some other form. Just remember, when I helped write the original team-based Clan Wars in 2007, I was using game engine features that had been designed for LootShare. We don't have that in OSRS. Either we'd have to do teams differently, or we'd have to wait for more game engine work, or we'd have to drop the team-based feature and just have the free-for-all arenas (which you might not want for various reasons).

When Nightmare Zone comes out, we'll doubtless make ourselves present in some form. I actually prefer foruming, but that's not a fixed rule.

This is cool but meh, i don't really wanna play much more before GWD actually have a chance to get back, can't see any good enough reason to level up...

We can't offer GWD while we don't have the compilers or development tools required to deliver it. If we ever get those, we'll be happy to revisit the topic of GWD. Which might or might not pass a poll, as you say.

So ash, would you mind someday make a topic or a Poll ''If we were able to re-introduce GWD would you vote for it?'', i would like to see something like that while waiting as it's a big topic going on, on the forum.

EDIT: Not really a fan of EoC/newschool anymore after they keep nerfing things which don't need to be, i play other games and actually just waiting on something big happening on OSRS, etc GWD, even the rare introduce made me get killed off the game since i used some hours on finding a scythe which still was incomplete. What are you, a concerned beaver?

That's interesting, so that would enable us a wider variety of content. Would there be a possibility of content such as classic seasonal events if the OSR tools are expanded and with help from a few of the live games staff? Going off topic a bit, but it's a question I've wanted to ask for a while.

Ahh, so you did some coding for Clan Wars in the past. I think there are a few areas that the community did dislike about Clan Wars (Red portal detracting players from the wilderness, luring in both the Red portal and Purple, etc). I don't think it would be too much of a bad thing if the existing Clan Wars was edited, but I guess we'll see what the future holds.

Great read, I really can't wait for the update. Reckon I'll be there for a long time trying to defeat some of my rivals. |

You know, you could make that thread. You don't have to wait for us to do it. I'll be honest with you, but if we were to poll GWD now, i doubt it would pass. I think there are too many concerns about the balancing of new weapons and the impact on end game as it stands. Those need to be addressed before it can really be polled.

We're looking at some temporary clan wars-like mechanic to aid in the Jagex Cup this year, that will be an interesting test bed to see how it works.

Clan Cup is running in OSR this year? That's great! Something else I can look forward to. :)

Uhmmm... Maybe you had me wrong or i am making you confused on my question, what i ment was making a ''un-real'' poll on a topic going on, on this forum or maybe in Old School Feedback & Poll Suggestions that could be open for couple of days since this is a huge topic.
EDIT: I would like to have the topic myself, but i can't setup any polls neither share some websites and then it will just turn into another Flamebait thread.

I remember when this whole game could get voted for, i was so happy that it was 2007 because of God Wars, but watching that GWD was released couple of weeks after this backup made me disappointed.

Oh yeah, off-topic question if you mind, i've had this in mind in so long time now,
but i think it has to be private so i'm not breaking the advertise rule or get too off-topic, unless i get your permission to speak about this other game/tool, it's something about OSRS and another tool i work with and i would like to get your/yours assistance when you have some extra time. What are you, a concerned beaver?
