So, as great as a TTrail expansion would be, could we also address a fix to prevent the new (and old) rewards from becoming worthless shortly after release?

Most TTrail rewards are currently worthless, only worth their high alch or less.

Perhaps we could adopt something similar to what RS3 does. Perhaps having an option to trade them in for points which can be redeemed for exclusive items would work? Maybe adding a spell to "extract" special crafting materials from TTrail items, and perhaps others that have lost value, could be a solution.

I know these suggestions might not be perfect, but I do think we should try something. Otherwise the rewards will become worthless a few weeks after release, except for the extremely rare ones.

no to the guy above me...

they are valued based on their usefulness, which isn't much. Treasure trails are meant for fun, not to be super amazing rewards every time.

That being said:

I think the leg shackles are very OP and have no hope of passing. You also must include level requirements to weild some of these things in the blog. What level(s) if any are required to weild? The kilt and shackles are extremely OP if no req. If they are like 60+ def, maybe, just maybe they have a chance of passing (but I doubt it).

Most TTrail items are meant to be cosmetic, not useful. It's not like they'd be won every ttrail, either.

Having TTrail items that hold their value is important. Part of the excitement of TTrails is seeing a valuable TTrail item pop up.

Doesnt have to make them really expensive, either, just help hold their value. They dont have to be made rarer to do that either. We just need an item sink for em.

What is op about 4 str? Its barely 1/2 of a max hit over climbing boots, or 1 max hit 50 percent of the time.

It will affect nobody over 100 combat, they will use dragon boots. Pures and strange accounts deserve new content too!

Kilt OP? 1 str bonus is OP? Thats not even a max hit! what are you on about?

I don't think you understand how an economy works. Unless something is tied to an alch value, it will decrease in price, unless there is demand for it. If you artificially give something demand through what your suggesting, more people will do it and tank the prices anyway. We also don't want to give everything stupidly high alch prices because then the economy gets flooded with coins.

It is just an end result of any game that has a long enough time for thousands of every item to be gathered. Items maintain their values based on their usefulness, and to an extent their rarity.

Look at wizard boots, rangers, and holy sandals, which are all equivalent drop rates, look at the price differences.

I think they deserve new content also, as I am one of the aforementioned accounts. However, if you combine a bunch of these new items, that gets max hits up there rather quickly. It basically eliminates the need for defence to increase melee max. I for one do not want to see pures running around able to dds 46 - 46, which this is leading towards.

It's funny look at the results. Plenty on Reddit are getting mad about stackable clues making the game easy yet they're all fine with using 3rd party clients.

These third party clients make the game significantly more easy but since people are used to it, those who use it wouldn't vote against it.

I really feel these clients are the reason this game has become BIS/DPS/PVM/efficiency scape

On another note, Jagex could you please make a post on these threads so we know if you're reading them because it seems like mods prefer posting on "humor" reddit threads.
