As its a gold sink as economy is messed up. Putting it back into the game in any means males this tax pointless.

This tax here will stop the need of ge tax etc which would of messed up the game.

Sand casino is the only place where people gamble, everything else from runescape has been taken out whether its the flowers, horses, etc etc so why is this even still a thing makes no sense.


So if it is going to be a thing because I understand people play soley to stake (even though common sense to ask yourself where does the money go...)

I thin it should go a step further personally and when a player wins these big amounts the player should be watched and see where this money is going.


Don't allow people to transfer b's and b's to another acct. If they are playing legit then they wont be banned and authenticator will stop them getting hacked

So... i'm not a big fan of staking since I think its for people too stupid to cheat at poker and average non cheating stakers have less than a 50% chance to win, but...

Where does the gp go, does Jagex get to rwt it instead of some of the players?

Not a big fan of the no items thing either cause items are generally have less worth than gold in my view

Yes this is what we need right now, I love paying taxes its my favorite part of life!

How about every 5 steps our player walks instead of running we pay 1k gold, or better yet we have to pay with bonds into a pot in the middle of the desert

How about we have mob shakedowns in rs where you have to pay a tax or get roughed up in the back room which wastes an entire hour of play time just to watch in agony your player get beat up by a criminal for an entire hour

Its not like the stakers are dumping their items into the ge and causing deflation...

Oh wait they are? Drats!

I guess i hope it works. Seems like a bad way to go about things, only really effecting high limit or Xing stakers while it probably is going to mess with a lot of items too. Sorta disappointing yet again really. Like I said, I HOPE it works though.... and hey hopefully you actually finally fixed something .. (Smite)


But I do think that rather than doing something about the 'gambling issue' (Which is really your inability to just find the real world traders which are much of the (Xers LUL) you TAX people, effecting us regular players and not the addicts\RWTers.

I dunno i guess i wish you wouldnt mess with things and actually try to go after the people doing this or be less transparent and show us you are doing so .. it seems like such a negative update while in my mind i can see the positives.


Rant over, TLDR; Hope it works, disasppointed and dont think it will effect anyone but us normies though.

This post demonstrates a fundamental lack of understanding about inflation and basic economic concepts.

The update is objectively good for the game. If players are not able to understand what's best for them, I'm ok with them leaving for the game's economy (and therefore the game as a whole) to survive.

Oh baloney, you're advocating for a trading tax on rs, doesn't get more caveman than that lol

Since when has taxes in any form been good for any economy unless they get given to someone else who needs the money more?

You can't just say end conversation when you don't want someone else to talk back lol

Honestly they don't even have to rig or refuse to hold votes, they can get people to believe what they believe just by saying it enough times lol
