Fm kind of makes sense, given how that area literally has ice spiders.
Maybe have the Ghorrock trolls take logs as a currency (instead of gp) to trade for trollish items? Given the GE price of logs, maybe start with 50 fm and only accept mahoganies and higher? This could introduce some interesting wildy mechanics, such as a single-use 1-click tp to Ghorrock trolls when nearby (e.g. from rev caves, wildy GWD, regular GWD, or wildy agility arena).
Another option is to train both slayer and fm by having gargoyle-like mechanics, where the Ghorrock trolls can only be finished off by lighting them on fire, which requires logs. Maybe even introduce something specific (kind of like pyres), such as peat (which might be the mineable), which is made specifically as a slayer finisher?
Also, what if, as a reward from the quest, there's an equipable tinderbox? It only adds 1 to the max log count in inv, but maybe make it so that, when the special tinderbox is equipped, one can right-click to light the logs?
And for something silly, add fireworks as a "weapon"? We already have explosives from Regicide, so gunpowder isn't that far of a stretch, right? Possibly use different kinds of herb tars to color the fireworks? (Regular dye doesn't seem to make sense.)
Finally, and this is just a thought...maybe throw in a consumable, e.g. a lava rock, that can be used to provide protection from the cold at GWD/Wintertodt? Might want to make DT a prereq for the quest if this is the case, since part of the challenge of DT is beating Kamil with severely, constantly drained stats. And to keep it from being too powerful, maybe only give it a 90s duration, which would be enough time to tp to Trollheim and run to GWD, but not so much that it makes the Wintertodt trivial. Alternatively, make it so that it fully protects from drained stats, and only partially from snow damage in Wintertodt.
