We'll be looking to change it so that we would give the loot to whoever dealt the killing blow if:
No PKer is found by the existing system.
AND
The dying player had been hit by another player recently.
AND
The death occurred in the Wilderness or a PvP world or equivalent area.


Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but doesn't that first condition mean the glitch is still fully abusable since the old system takes priority?

Thats what i took away as well from reading that.

Ayiza, you mentioned the pvp reapplying would be removed upon the last minute of invulnerability. That is unfair, TB should have its duration as set to be as it always has been, if you tank 5 minutes of any team whether it be Multi/Single you deserve to get out. Logging out shouldn't be a priority, Logs outs are a very small chance upon huge teams.

For example: Last night, literally just last night i tanked FOOLS from a full TB, i had only 2 clan members there, against 15 people. No one dropped me brews, I didnt drop my gear for anyone. The only way i managed to get out was simply because they fulled me too early. In that last minute or 40 seconds worth, More FOOLS members in max literally ran up and attempted to trade specs off. I still had remaining brews and kept checking my TB timer. Had it not been for TB lasting for its duration I would have died because they would have been able to teleblock me AGAIN (as your update says) leaving me practically helpless despite tanking out 1 full 5 minute TB to begin with.

Teleblocks are not a joke, 5 Minutes of one especially to a max team or any team in general could be bad enough. Being able to stack that infinitely when the timer gets low is practically PvP System Abuse.

Realistically this portion of the update does more harm than good. Whether you think that or not, you're not the one actually Single/Multi Pking. Not talking about safezones/pvp world camping.

This will be an excellent (and much needed) update for the PvP scene. I have heard so many positive things so far in the clan chats that I visit and around the game in general.

I've pked since 2005. That's the issue, you and the jmods are thinking about streamers instead of the average player. If you can't tank a 5 minute TB, you need to either change locations - or don't pk in max above 30 wilderness. Easy as that. There's places that you can tank a 5 minute TB that will stall pkers - Graves, wildy GWD bolder, axe hut etc.

I am FIRMLY against your quest to remove animation delaying.

Things like that keep pking interesting, it keeps the skillceiling relatively high, meaning that experienced pkers still have things they can do that are enjoyable. Removing stalling is going to ruin the pking scene. Its not like its common anyways, it requires a lot of skill to pull off cool tricks and its not even an effective/efficient way of killing people in most cases.

Please rethink this, I wont have a reason to play if you continue down that path.

Id like to stress that a lot of these tricks are really hard to perform, while being far from efficient ways of killing opponents. Even simply using the home teleport to cancell animations is too hard for the average player, let alone more advanced tricks.

Also, another thought.
Reducing the timer on pid changes leaves me with mixed feelings. On the one hand, it makes pking more fair and more dynamic (strategy changes a lot based on whether or not you have pid). There is one major downside though: pid swap stacks.
Right now, if pid swaps from the opponents to yours, between you shooting an arrow and hitting with a 2h sword, then the two hits stack up perfectly. They register in the exact same tick, whereas normally when you stack range to 2h, they stack with 1 tick in between.
This is something a player cant anticipate, and keeping a higher hp to protect against it means you'll be safing really badly.
I'd love if you guys could find a solution for this pid swap stack issue.
For example: every time you receive pid, your attack delay is lengthened by one tick. So that if you shoot a bow, the attack speed would be changed to four ticks (instead of 3) for a single period, so there wont be a pid swap stack.

Yes, please do something about all the pathetic raggers. I could care less about everything else. It's highly frustrating trying to pk in multi when there are 2 or 3 people that decide to grab a crystal bow and rag you at the same time. That is NOT pking and they are full of crap when they say otherwise.
