Also about BGS, will its special attack will be just like in 2007 august? Lowering every combat stat? or would it only work for defence?

The special attack of the BGS will be like in August 2007, when it could work on all combat stats.

Anyone think it shouldn't be like this?


I believe it will be quite overpowered... It's the reason why it was changed back after.

Maybe you shuold let it lower your def AND RANGED? That could be quite logical because of the combat triangle.

Yes i did the whole Blog.

About the k'ril/Zamorak do i think it is not enough since the boss pretty much are overpowered with its 43-49 Hits(through prayer)+Poison.

About the Lootshare do i want the money bag shared between players you are grouping with.

What ranger would still fight a bgs user if this were to happen? melee having an advantage over range is fine but this is huge

The protection timer in the wilderness should only be applied to single areas, and not multi areas as it would destroy the dynamics of clanning and multi pking.

Great questions, though I think it is unfair that you will make addy bar drops unnoted, while herbs are noted from boss drops.. I think Addy bars should still be noted, but maybe make it drop like 2 or 3 at a time and maybe a little bit lower drop rate. It's good xp and a good money making method, but I dont think it will crash the market

I'm not really as worried about appearance as much as gameplay mechanics. The staff of light special attack is incredibly overpowered for staking, and would create an absolute divide in the staking community. 70 attack and below, using dds, would never stake an sol, and 75 attack and below, using sol, would only be able to find sol fights. The staking world is already very small, and this would kill stat diversity and make it finding stakes even harder. If you can't make it two handed, could you make the staff of light special require a shield to be worn?

Rather than making Adamant Bars drop unnoted, I think it's a better idea to make them drop either one or two noted Adamant Bars. Adamant Bars were, basically, the only incentive for players to fight Aviansies as they were a great way of making money while training range. By making them drop one or two noted Adamant Bars, it effectively cuts the profit in half (or more if it only drops one).

As for Dragon Boots, I don't understand the fuss about it. You could use the same argument for Rune Boots decreasing the value of Adamant Boots.

Didn't it work on lowering all defence first, then strength, for example if im level 30 def, 50 strength, somebody does 50 damage, id be level 0 def, 20 strength? thats the way i remember it

In that case, its just fine, but please, no random stat.

Looks to me like that's the sort of thing that the code would do. It certainly doesn't look for a random stat to reduce.

I admit I'm having a little trouble reading this code; the original developer didn't leave comments. Here's what I think would happen, from my reading of the code...

Suppose I have all my stats on 20, and someone hits me for 50.
It takes 20 off my Defence.
It takes 20 off my Strength.
It takes 10 off my Prayer.
Total: 50.
The next stat it'd affect would be Attack, then Magic, then Ranged.

Overall, it'll do whatever it did in August 2007. I'm not expecting to change whatever it is.

EDIT: ... but that doesn't rule out further changes in future polls.

Could you maybe add an anvil to the armadyl godwars area, so high level smiths could go to train ranged at aviansies, train smithing with the unnoted bars, and then maybe alch their smithed items to train magic and make profit? Without something like this, aviansies will be dead content
