awesome news, and new forums options look awesome, just a shame about the unids, they were removed for a reason...that reason still exists...shouldn't have been changed back to unids in the first place.

the only reason anyone wanted unids back was to attempt to make herblore dirt cheap to train and highly profitable, and now we hear about people using 3rd party tools to check item id's to make sure they are buying high level herbs off of unsuspecting people...

07 servers have really shown what a lot of the community is like, pathetically over used auto typers, bots, scams, damn even hosts came straight to 07 while they could...more proof that the only thing wrong with this game is its players, not its creators.

Hey guys, there has been some great discussion going on. There are two things that seem to be at the center of the discussion, one is that we are going to repoll the question about f2p worlds, the other is GWD.

The reason we wanted to repoll the question about f2p worlds is that we felt we did not do a good job of explaining what we were proposing and it really isn't fair to not do something based on our failing not yours. It has been something we have learned from and to combat any confusion in future, we will now release the questions prior to the poll so these things can be cleared up.

On top of that, we didn't want to make any changes without a poll agreeing to it so we weren't simply going to add it in anyway.

There are lots of comments about not wanting GWD to return. It would be massively useful if you could make sure you tell us why you don't want it to come back, and even better if you could tell us any potential solutions you may come up with to solve these reasons. No one says that GWD has to appear exactly as it did before. Remember, you are in control here.

Mod Mat I guarantee you there'd be far more support if godswords had a 90+ attack req, bandos had 85+ def req, arma had 85+ attack/range req. With little chance of higher-tiered weapons coming out I think you should consider this as it would make for great high level content without being too overpowered.

Also dragon crossbow drop from armadyl with a spec that gives 80% bolt effect chance!

I'm against GWD coming back as it originally came out, but with far higher reqs for the armour/weapon drops I'd be ok with it.

Also it's been said before, but really appreciate the communication between the devs and the players, feels a lot like it did back when I started playing in '02.

You are so looking after us in OSRS...anyone who felt we might be alittle neglected over here in '07 is being proven very wrong!
You sure are busy, busy, busy- fixing probs-reading threads-responding to players concerns etc, etc, etc ....

So massive thankyou for all your hard work and for letting players have such an imput...OSRS rocks! and it appears with all your efforts will get better and better (but in a very different way to EOC).

I really want GWD back, but to give in with the people who don't really want it I would agree with the 90 attack requirement. Also change the drop rate of hilts and armor parts, make it more rare!

Also what I would like to see is a second weapon next to the GS, just like the Saradomin boss has SS. A BS (fyi a Bandos sword lol), a ZS and a AS or AC (armadyl crossbow), but then again, make them really rare!

Why did people vote no for F2p style worlds anyways? what's so bad about having f2p worlds? they wont change anything for members, and it will bring alot more people to this game to help for having a more succesful game.

People voted no because they misunderstood, just like you do.

We didn't vote for f2p worlds, we voted for f2p STYLED worlds, which means you would still need an active membership to acces those worlds. It would only be a benefit to people who like f2p pking, so that means no spec weapons and no high def armors. Just rune, monk robes, rune scims and 2h's!

Edit: or do you mean it would help us gain more members?

Really? another poll for F2p pking? The only reason why we voted for old school Runescape is for the old school F2p pking. You seemed to be scared to offer an F2p world because you know that more than half of the players would end their subscription. Well you have achieved your dream of keeping everything members, and now you won't give us what we need? I would like to give Jagex some tips before its too late: Runescape started losing its value since the end of the wilderness in 2007. If you won't give back the F2p pking within a week or so, then count the amount of unsubscribes and you will know what I mean. Runescape used to be the #1 FREE TO PLAY game, and now it's time that Runescape gives out this title. WE WANT F2P PKING AND NOTHING ELSE.

Why would people end their subscription lol? You will still need to pay "Runescape" membership, to be able to access "OSR" and the proposed F2P Pk themed worlds. Yes themed only. They will not be F2P as in no cost at all. All paying members are paying the cost of running the OSR servers.

You will get your F2P themed PK worlds, if 75% of the current community votes for it.
