please stop changing the game like wtf you bring old runescape back just to update and ruin it all again that is just dumb leave it the way it is

The game will stagnate and die if it's not updated.
It will have a handful of hardcore players still on it and now new blood coming in.

for the sake of OSRS, please keep adding content and updating!!

Please bring GWD back!
There are too many PKers in the game who need their comuppance!
There godswords are essential for end-game PvMing!
The GWD is a great activity to keep players playing after they have reached the end-game!
Godswords are not overpowered, they were implemented to counter the overpowered defence of the barrows armours!
Please bring GWD back!

I can see that you dont understand old rs.. This is what people wanted what we have now. No GE no GWD, it just so happen that the oldest version they had was 10th august before they ruined rs. Adding GWD makes alot of stuff in the game useless.

Just vote yes on the next poll and be a ****** because it will never reatch 75% and if it dose 50% will stop playing. because then congrats you helpt in destroying the game again.

Of course I do. I have read every single post in this thread...
I am trying to dilute the whining of the PKers who keep saying GWD is overpowered, when in reality, DDS is far more powerful than AGS.
Also, Barrows equipment is stacked to favour high defence, so the GWD balances this out with equipment stacked to favour high damage.
If anything is overpowered, then it'd be the dragon claws...

I'm trying to throw some light onto why it is not so bad, and have some good discussion.
The people on these forums have their heads so focussed on preserving PKing that they cannot think of what other benefits a feature may add. I am trying to assist in this matter py explaining the pros for the GWD.

So instead of trying to say "shut your trap and just vote", please engage with me in meaningful discussion about the feature.

Yes, they are giving the FREE worlds another chance! Please everyone vote this time. Low level foods/weapons/potions will become useless in the future without a FREE world to make use of it.

Themed Worlds, although convenient don't realistically provide for all events. E.g. around this time period World 6 handled multiple activities. With themed worlds people think that those activities only happen in those worlds.

::toogleroofs command. Why in the world did they add this... Just give us the low/high detail options. It would be 10x better, give us even more of an old school feel, and I'm quite sure it's a simple Boolean value that signifies what mode the client is ran in.

Varrock Achievement Diary - Although many might think this will make smithing easy it really won't it'll make save them 1-2 server cycles per inventory. Not to mention for the route to be faster we'd need to see the addition of the October 2nd 2007 Edgeville update. So other than the perks of the armour I see this as a very worthwhile update. The tasks are insanely easy and do take time if you don't have all the stats / quests required.

Quests - Those quests are alright, I don't see much reason not to add them.

God Wars - Please don't even consider this unless you really modify it up a bit. The bandos armour should have been much higher defence requirements or possibly fewer defence bonus. The godswords need a major nerf on damage and special attack. They should max 50 without special and 55 bgs, 60 ags, and weaker effects for the other two.

Trade Chat - Would it ever be possible to see the addition of trade chat, so we can properly communicate in busy worlds? Alongside that a message filter so we can enter in text we'd like to be unfiltered. Meaning if I did "lobs" all messages containing that phrase will be the only people I can see talking. This would make trading so much easier and I think both are worthwhile updates.

I do understand old RS, and I also understand that you want to preserve the PK dominion over RS.
But lets think for a bit... what happens if PKing becomes/remains the core of this game?

---Skilling is a waste of time. Why spend 3 hours earning 5mil when a single hour of PKing can earn you 10mil?
---Treasure trails are ruined. Why spend 1-10 hours doing a TT when the reward is so much less than the reward from PKing? And all the good rewards are in the wild, where your prize will be stolen by underlevelled mob-rushers?
---PvM is already useless. We need more PvM activities that drop high value items to balance out the rewards from PKing
---Successful PKers will become even more successful due to massive resources at their disposal, while the poor will remain forever poor. People will not enjoy the game and will quit because they can never be "a winner" unless they PK or RWT.
---Questing is about the only thing not ruined by PKing.

Do you really want to play an MMO where the ONLY way to earn a decent amount of money is to kill others? The game will become a bloodbath with no diversity at all...

I hate PKing and would rather see it obliterated from the game... but in the name of Guthix, I vote for balance.

I can clearly see that you just want to make some money that you can sell for real life cash, get a job insted. This game aint about money its about having fun.

The reason we wanted to repoll the question about f2p worlds is that we felt we did not do a good job of explaining what we were proposing and it really isn't fair to not do something based on our failing not yours. It has been something we have learned from and to combat any confusion in future, we will now release the questions prior to the poll so these things can be cleared up.

On top of that, we didn't want to make any changes without a poll agreeing to it so we weren't simply going to add it in anyway.
Lol. But Poll #1 DID agree with the return of F2P Worlds. It was 70% supported.

There are lots of comments about not wanting GWD to return. It would be massively useful if you could make sure you tell us why you don't want it to come back, and even better if you could tell us any potential solutions you may come up with to solve these reasons. No one says that GWD has to appear exactly as it did before.
In my opinon, the main concern with GWD is that it came with overpowered weapons. So I wouldn't support the return of Godswords, but I wouldn't mind to see the return of GWD armors assuming they gave about the same bonuses as the Barrows items. So IF you're going to bring back GWD, you're going to have to be VERY SPECIFIC regarding what it will come with.

The other major concern is that people don't want to bring millions to the Old School Economy, so we definetly don't want the Grand Exchange nor Coinshare. But most of us would be ok with having Lootshare. AND most of important of all, you CANNOT add Gravestones. For 2 months, we had GWD like this having dangerous PVM and my Pking Clan didn't experience any loss of activity because RuneScape wasn't safe nor easy. AND I don't want to see Summoning nor Nex.

Yes, this game, as every other game, is about making money.
Each section of the game - questing, skilling, PKing, PvMing, etc. - is played and enjoyed in it's own right, but they need a purpose to further the game. The purpose is to obtain wealth so you can purchase items to use at higher levels.
Money is the glue that joins each of these features together.

And please don't tell me you have never chopped yes for hours, or mined coal for hours, or fished for hours, just to sell for money so you can buy an awesome item. If you try to say you have never, I'll call you a liar =)

And I don't appreciate you saying that I sell RS money for real money. That is a false accusation. Just as you love PKing, I love making money. We both play the game in our own styles. Please respect that =)
