After looking at the posts on this list, it is obvious that God Wars Dungeon will most likely not be implemented into the game. The main reason for this being that they were overpowered in PvP and led to the downfall of Runescape.

Now saying this, I'd ask everyone to have an open mind. Personally i enjoyed GWD and I didn't mind its effects on the wilderness because after all it is open content for everyone and one is not limited unless they so choose to be.

------------Suggestion---------------
When the poll for GWD comes out i suggest adding theses options
1. Add GWD and all of its weapons and armor and make everything usable anywhere.
2. Do not add GWD
3. Add GWD and all of its weapons and armor, BUT make it so that godswords are not usable in the wilderness and only outside for PvM or in minigame combat.
4. Add GWD and all of its weapons and armor, BUT make it so that godswords AND GWD armor are not usable in the wilderness and only outside for PvM or in minigame combat.

I think that this would narrow the categories down because there are people that all want a certain thing. Most of the people I know would want option 1, but I know that there are others that would like 3 or 4 but are pushing for option 2 because there would be no option 3 or 4.

Please consider implementing these in the poll, I think it would really help!

Firstly, to the development team who have been allocated to OSRS, can I just say thank you for all the work you are doing to really make this a 'game for the players'. Everyone will have differing opinions as to what needs to go in and what doesn't, and I think you are doing a fantastic job at trying to please as many people as you can. The polls are a great way to gauge exactly what the community feels is worthwhile adding.

Secondly, I would like to say that I DO enjoy the game as it is but I am not against change. Whilst content updates would help add more to the game, they have to be carefully considered by each and every person who votes (as mentioned by others multiple times). There are knock-on effects for each one, and I think people rush into decisions without thinking of consequences. I feel that the aesthetic tweaks are needed, and that is a personal thing.

Thirdly, as for the proposed content, I would say my opinions are the following:

- The God Wars Dungeon: Not now. It's too early in the game, and I think that adding this in when there is already so much for people to do would overwhelm a lot of players, particularly when they watch videos of other players doing it. It may end up increasing the '07scape -> EOC Cash trading' more so people can fast-track to the high level content, and this can only be a bad thing. In future, if it's balanced correctly, I would probably welcome this update. But a long time in the future.

- The Varrock Achievement Diary: Maybe. I would prefer to see the Lumbridge/Draynor diary if I'm honest, as that was a way of introducing a new player to a lot of the skills (and it was f2p). Too early again.

- Land of the Goblins and Path of Glouphrie: These aren't needed yet. Let players do the current quests for a few months before deciding whether or not to implement these.

- ZMI Altar: I wouldn't use it, but if it doesn't damage the price of runes too much then I can't see what harm it will do.

Keep it up! :)

Is there any chance we could have the degrade feature on barrows armors removed?

I remember when it was released we had the armors non-degradable for a while. We had people that were very upset because they had their D chains 20m and whips 8m devalued. Then the degrade feature was added to bring peace to the people.

Well sense we don't have very much dragon armor in the game yet, or very much gold. I see no reason it couldn't be tried. The degrade feature was almost set in place over night. So i'm guessing it would not be something hard to change in both directions. The drop rates would have to be tweaked but even that's been done so many times before.

This is just an idea that I believe is better than GWD

There's perfectly valid reasons to not want an update, lets not act like everyone is going to always agree. Pkers have a very good reason to not want certain updates (gwdswgs) just as skillers have good reasons to not like updates like ivy
unespan or zmi.

Of course there are valid reasons not to want certain updates. But even items that have no valid reason to oppose them get 10%, 20% or more people voting against. Combine that with the people who have legitimate objections, and it means the 75% number will never be reached for any significant update.

The majority of polls have reached the threshold, so your statement is simply not true. As long as an update is not controversial, it will be implemented.

The majority of polls reached the threshold BECAUSE they are not controversial.

But content additions are. And that's why, as long as 75% is the number, they will never be implemented. There will always be a quarter of the voters to vote down any new addition.

And the game will rot. You'll see.

Good suggestion, but with four options the tough thing will be deciding how to interpret the results. If 25% of people choose #1, 30% choose #2, 20% choose #3, and 25% choose #4 -- then what? Clearly a vast majority want GWD in some form, but #2 has the most votes.

I should probably have mentioned in the post above that...well...let me put it this way

Lets say the results are like so
1. 30%
2.20%
3.30%
4.20%

If two were leading in collective votes above them all, then that would give you the answer right there, NO!
But if the other three options collectively had more votes than option 2 then i think that Jagex should cast another vote based upon options 1, 3, and 4, and then when that poll is over select the final two for vote. Pretty much a process of elimination

I see no flaw with it, but if someone else does than please feel free to make your voice heard!

It's a bit too early to add GWD in my opinion. We already have tons of stuff to do! Though, if we got it eventually, I wouldn't mind banning the godswords from the wilderness**

**-ing is a body whose dynamics change very drastically with the inclusion of new weapons/armor and as such, it's easy to lose the OSRS feel to PK-ing right quick. In contrast, PvM is all about exploration, completion, the journey towards becoming stronger, and eventually taking on the endgame. So, why not help us benefit both of these camps and simply ban the godswords (and potentially the GWD gear as well) from the wilderness, but still bring GWD back?
