My personal reasons for not allowing GWD to return in OSRS:

Top contender as economy engine:
I am going to ignore skillers in this argument as they are constant in both EoCScape and OSRS. Besides skillers, both games have their own major activities that drive the game economy. Jagex released all major updates, checks and balances single mindedly as PvM-centered in EoCScape to the point where, now it is an irrevocably a PvM driven economy for about 5-ish years. Wilderness and PvP is in ruins and utterly broken. OSRS on the other hand has ties to the old economy system which was driven by Pking for around 7 years. The top contender for money making should remain separate. PvMscape and PvPscape cannot co-exist without damaging each other's playerbase and activity levels. GWD was the main factor that started economy inflation and a large scale item hoarding trend. Players found ways to nullify all sink barriers and it became a one way trip to massive cash piles. PvP on the other hand presented riches as well as a sink. The top tier money making method should remain oldschool, reflective of how the game's economy engine worked back in the days. To nullify this concern, you'll have to make the items low cost so GWD does not supercede PvP's dominant money making characteristic in old school.


I am against all forms of involuntary PvP. Therefore anything that makes it less attractive, and less profitable is a GOOD thing.
If you want PvP, go to the dual arena, clan wars, or FOG. Stop forming big mobs and rush hunting individuals for their hard earned items. It is mean. It is bullying. It is cowardly.

Money should be made earned by skillers, questers, and PvMers, and 100% definitely NOT stolen from other good, honest, decent people!

Overpowered Weapons:
Overpowered godswords, armours, etc are what started the PvM spree and power lust of wanting more and more of everything. The weapons due to their high stats, compared to the low healing food and hit point levels in the game, were over powered and rendered the wilderness unsafe.

Slippery Slope:
As I said before, PvMscape and PvPscape cannot co-exist. Once PvMscape starts, it will not end there. PvM'ers will want something more powerful once they have their prized GWD items in abundance. Itemhoarding will be in full swing and it will end up with players wanting the Corporeal Beast. Divine shields will be the next stop. It will not stop there, people will want curses and summoning next to make it easy for them to Corp. My question is, where do you draw the line? Only Jagex can answer that. I'd rather stop this nonsense by voting No from the start instead of waiting to see an uncertain future.

Community:
You can make a community anywhere. Also, you can add them to your friends list.

Overpower:
Oh dear, did I just hear you, a PvPer, complaining about the wilderness being unsafe? Suck it up princess. If you can give it you can take it too.

Slippery Slope:
That is why we are here - so WE can decide when enough is enough :<
there are extremists on both ends of the scale, sooner or later we'll find a happy medium, I'm sure.

Click here and type your message: there is 2 reasons why GWD ruined the game 1: god swords are way to strong 2: u could farm money way to easy and it made skilling useless examples: "lets sit at bandos for a few hour and get 400 addy bars same speed cuz thats way faster then mining+smithing it" . "yeey arma hilt lets buy 99 prayer".^ these examples proof that GWD makes money farming way too easy. if u add GWD why not just add whole eoc. if ur adding anything develop it totally NEW and don't get it out of the bad version of runescape. polling won't get out the truth cuz there still are companys who want to make alot of money with RWT. i hope you read this message and reconsider polling GWD.

This is so stupid. Just by reading the future contents, it sounds like OSRS is just going to turn back in EOC. Don't introduce Gods war into OSRS. It ruins the purpose of bringing back OSRS (
OLDSCHOOL
). If you want Gods war just go back to EOC. Leave OSRS without over powered weapons like god swords. We don't need any in 2007. Other then Gods war everything else sounds good. Just please don't bring Gods war into OSRS.

There is no such thing as involuntary PVP in Runescape anymore. That has been gone since RSC. You have to
CHOOSE
to go into the wilderness. The reason people go into there is because of rewards that tend to be better than other areas of this game. It is what drives many to even enter it. Thus it causes single pk'ers to go in there. This causes groups of pkers to go into to fight the smaller groups. Finally that causes clans to hunt for the groups.

Go into the wilderness with friends if you are afraid of going in alone. If someone kills you get your friends to go hunt them back for your stuff.

FYI majority of your "choices" for PVP are not even in ORS. Nice try though.

If you're just gonna keep adding content it will just go downhill from here AGAIN.
Just do bug fixes and anti bot updates and eventually NON game changing updates like fixing the walking path but god damn do not add GWD again.

I am just here to say, I came back to Runescape this final time specifically for 2007scape and the fact that there were NO ridiculous weapons like the god swords.

However, a good compromise would be to not allow god swords in the wild, and to have an option of "No God Weapons" in dueling.

I believe the gwd is good for people who like to pvm, but it can be dangerous to add those things

Finally, I will say *his, If god wars weapons are voted in, and allowed to be used in wild and dueling arena freely, I will never be paying for a Runescape membership in my life. No offence, but it just isn't something i'd be interested in.(and i'm sure other scapers would feel the same way.
