Hello, I have some input on the new dragon platebody.

It would also be nice to have another item needed to create it. This is the dragon chain body, to help ensure that it [the chainbody] does not crash, and to ad some value to getting it. Similar to the primordial boots.

Also, a place to do this with the D2H somewhere would be nice.

Thank you for listening!

The dragon platebody and kiteshield need something to make them more useful. Sure, they seem to both be the best defensive option for someone with 60 defense, but both are outclassed by gear that is much easier to obtain and only have a slightly higher level requirement. For example:

-The dragon platebody would likely not be used by someone with access to any barrows platebody, or an obsidian platebody for offensive stats.
-The dragon kiteshield has same-tier competition with a dragon defender and obsidian shield. (Then the crystal shield and blessed spirit shield at a slightly higher level req.)

Also take into account that the minimum base price of these new items would be around 2m because the dragon metal shard's 2m price. So for each item there is a "nearly better" and far cheaper alternative.

It would be nice for both the dragon platebody and kiteshield to have some useful effect or function. Here's a couple of suggestions:
-The platebody could do increased damage to dragons (maybe 3-5%, melee damage only, seems fitting)
-The kiteshield could be combined with the dragon defender, leaving you with a defender with slightly higher defensive stats.

Note:If these items do receive some sort of buff/effect, DSII should be a requirement to equip them.

Overall, these two items need something, especially if the quest is as difficult and requirement-heavy as it sounds. The rest of the update looks great.

I'm not sure if this is the place for feedback on the whole quest idea since the normal post doesn't have a forum link. But I'm guessing there will be time when more info is brought forth.

My only concern is that Dragon Slayer II becomes a quest with very very high requirments in skills or combat which kinda defeats the purpose of a quest cape (this is speculation but my fear). The quest cape is a hard but mid level tier reward. With 69 Slayer being the highest skill.

I'm okay with increasing the boundaries of req levels but I would hate to see this new quest becoming a high tier lvl player quest only. We added raids which is an endboss thing only for those who kinda completed osrs. Quest cape should be inbetween it should be a medium level tier with requirments not going into the 80's. I think it would be quite unfair to increase the difficulty of obtaining a quest cape when the actual benefits of the quest cape don't change.

For example I'm worried that said requirments will need an average of lvl 85 in combat skills to defeat the boss this would make it high tier instead of the 70's stat combat levels most people need to get a quest cape.

I love my quest cape and Im currently at 1788 total so my skills are pretty high but I would hate to grind to lvl 80+ in skills only to get my quest cape back. My feedback would be that with all the high tier updates and low tier updates (fossil island) I would love a medium tier update for once that pushes the reqs for quest cape by a little bit but not increasing the gap from MM2 to Dragon Slayer II by all to much.

Most of this sounds very sweet to me. This myth guild sounds absolutely amazing and so do Adamantite and Rune Dragons. Putting the colored dragons will be an advantage to clue lovers who wants to hunt 3rd age and the like. My only concern is that there might be too many players there and that there might not be safespots.

so i definitely like many of the ideas here but i will be voting no to a majority of it simply because i see alot of it as being content that much like allot of fossil island will become wasted dev time. and i also see a lot of content i personally dont care for. i dont care for adamant dragons and rune dragons because it adds MORE annoying dagons to kill for slayer tasks. we have like 8 separate tasks for dragons already do we really need more? no we dont have enough blocks for this crap. give us 2 new blocking slots and you can add 2 more dragon tasks. personally i want all dragon tasks compacted into 3 tasks "normal dragons" "metal dragons" and "wyverns" because it is getting quite excessive.

the new guild sounds like an osrs elf city kinda op but its not too insane so i dont mind it being added.

the dragon bone necklace is 110% pointless if you cant just swap to it on demand meaning no one wil bother using it and its going to be a waste of dev time voting no there.

corshair cove is f2p aka dead content and a 100% waste of dev time to create as no one will bother using the place for anything but bots doing fishing or wc.

im all for surge spells but you can make do with the runes existing ingame and quit trying to add in a rc update for the sake of being able to say you did an rc update.

as far as wrath runes themselves can you just gtfo with the low exp for rc crap? grow a pair and tell the community tough crap this skill sucks we gotta make it better same deal with agility. i will perpetually vote no to any rc update that dosnt improve the gameplay of rune crafting and add variety to how it is trained and this will not based on what i see. i will be voting no to anything thats involved wrath runes aswell purely because of 2 reasons 1 wrath runes will not improve rc gameplay and 2 it will probably be dead content since the exp rate sucks and it wont top double laws in profit if i had guess.

anyway those are my opinions and i have ran out of room

Looks all good to me, however a few points:

I'm afraid that if this corsair cove has a bank close to fishing spots in f2p, a lot of bots will appear there and the price of lobsters/swordfish will drop (even more than they are currently).

I read in a post before on this thread that the dragon chainbody would be a requirement for the dragon platebody. I think that's a great idea to give these inferior items some more purpose in the game as stuff like dragon chainbody and dragon sq are not really as wanted and valuable as they used to be.

Also I think that the dragon crossbow isn't going to add much to the game since the stats are way too close to the rune crossbow, dragon hunter crossbow and armadyl crossbow.

And last... having the quest not required to wear items like the dragon platebody/kiteshield is perfect, so these items will be easier to sell to lower levels (since the requirements for the quest were high, right?)

Furthermore, keep up the good work!

Will the super antifire potion provide 100% immunity vs the kbd ranged attack?

Also why new BiS gear? I thought you learned your lesson about power creep from rs3 jagex :X

The dragon platebody and kitesheild are great though. No they don't need anything more like some people suggest. Of course they wont be BiS. Is D chain BiS? no, is D legs BiS? no.. people buy this stuff because it's iconic, rare, fashionable etc. Not everything has to be BiS geez.

What's the point in adding a new shield if the new potion kills it and the dfs on release? Also this is the same kind of potion that killed the dfs and anti dragon shields on rs3, literally ruining one of the most iconic shields of all time. Snipe Snipe.
