Me too - it really brought in an incredible number of new players. Best deal Jagex ever struck, I suspect. I suppose the closest equivalent these days would be Steam, though apparently we've run the numbers for that one and concluded that the extra exposure wouldn't be worth it for the fees we'd owe them. I dunno anything about the situation you're asking about, though - sorry.

Streamers bring in players that have a somewhat understanding of the game and community seeing as they have been watching it. When mobile drops I expect to see a surplus of new players with no concept of the game at first, this is when everyday players will appreciate the demographic that streamers bring in as they are probably more adapt to the game and community from the get go.

Also i like the streaming events. They bring in a lot of viewers. Although usually when someone llike b0aty does a normal stream, it only has like 3000 viewers. So its cool to see 10k+ watching a live stream.
