Is it possible if the mudskipper flippers can be used/worn as a sort of running/swimming speed/energy while underwater... same applies as if you click the run button to improve speed on land?

it would also be nice to have a quest that relates to fossil island and underwater exploring ...maybe the lost city of Atlantis or something of that sort?

STOP; It's time to stop adding new LAND MASSES when we already have the barren continent of ZEAH, the rarely-visited TIRANNWN, the completely unfinished PRIFDDINAS, the lonely island of MISCELLANIA, and not to mention the jarring black voids at the edge of certain areas in the main continent!

*sigh*

What the hell are you doing, Jagex?

F***.

As a long-time supporter of Jagex and Runescape, I respect the effort of the team to bring us Fossil Island. I can't help but think, however, that the time and resources being used on this project could have been used on something better than a skilling island with unconventional methods.

Hope I'm wrong though, we'll see when it comes out!

I'm so glad this content is coming - I know a few people who are OSRS "purists" who wanted to see this concept shot down and never return.

But this is exactly the kind of content that made me return to OSRS today and start playing again, even after I was rudely shut out of the clan that invited me in to play the game WITH them (though that's neither here nor there)...

In other words, I am *very* hyped for Fossil Island! Can't wait!

I would be excited for this update, if it weren't for the lack of any meaningful direction the OSRS Team and Jagex appear to wield. They're almost entirely laying the reigns of future OldSchool RuneScape content direction—ignorantly—at the feet of the masses. The players aren't supposed to lead the direction of a game like that... That's what educated game designers are for.

That is one way to see it, but it is actually better they ask for our oppinion, Im pretty sure if they would have asked us about the EOC before 90% would of voted NO

Some community input is good, I'll grant you that much is true. But when it comes to big updates, such as related to this thread, it needs to be someone's vision, not just a whacky idea some J Mods had at lunch, for the entire player base to vote on (*cough* Zeah *cough*). SMH.

I think there is a delicate balance between keeping within the lore at the developer's disposal 'in-character' with the 2007 Runescape vibe and pleasing players with new content. Zeah is only in Phase I of III as far as content and /will/ be fleshed out. Tirranwn is unfortunately 'locked' in that regard, as Prifddinas was finally released, what...just a few years ago? There's not much more they can really release that fleshes out the existing parts of Tirannwn without veering off into another direction from RS3. I get those are just examples, but I think you are no better at throwing out ideas than the rest of the players are.

If this update goes through Ill never P2P again.

Are you trying to ruin these servers? STOP updating everything and just let players have their nostalgia. I have friends who quit over your Zeah/Void/Pride Event earlier in the year, and no not everyone comes back to your game. Your company should be surprised how many would when the typical age of an OSRS player is 20+...

Especially in a market where others things can fufill the niche, Point is a point is a point. OSRS is supposed to be cool because it fufills nostalgia, but its not attracting "new players" and in the launch that wasnt the selling point, so stop treating this like RS3- SLOW DOWN, with useless dead content.

I follow OSRS facebook and reddit where tens of thousands of people celebrate this game ironically will never play it again. Ive heard everything from "how terrible this company is to how many changes they're are already". That is honest feed back, in a nutshell, believe me I would love to see a surge to this dying game but with that said

Mobile OSRS isnt going to bring people back in droves to a game they dont completely recognize and full of new dead content. When I came back in 2014 I had an active friends list of 50+ people at anytime, now its 3-4.

So if they havent quit, than where are they??????????

I dont care about this update and who ever the team is working on it, should throw it in the trash and go knit a sweater to fill their time.

Nice. I can't wait to check out the new island. Also, can you make the diary cape have unlimited teleports? Every other cape has unlimited teleports besides that one.... Doesn't make sense considering it's second only to the max cape.

@ Couerant,

I don't believe it should be my job, or any RS player's job, to give advice or share ideas with the developers of OSRS. They can pay someone with talent in the industry to do that.

That homosexual pride event... What the actual fuck was that doing anywhere near RuneScape, to begin with? AFAIK, there aren't even any homosexual characters in the lore of RS. If you want an example of forced, unwanted content, that was definitely the poster child.
