Also just realized something.

A lot of people are saying that the Granite Longsword still won't be useful for those with 50 Attack because the Rune Scimitar or even Brine Sabre can still compete well with it, due to weapon speed.

Making them drop a Granite Scimitar with some kind of special attack as well would be a lot better. It should have a special attack, since Granite Maul and Granite Mace both have one.

Special Attack: Uses 30% of the bar and has a 50% chance to ignore the opponent's armour and Defense levels.
Long live the Wilderness. Long live risk vs reward in PVM. Long live 2006.

Fossil Island looks very nice. My only concern is the Mining experience rates in the Lava Mine. The Lava Mine is in the Dev Blog compared to Wintertodt, I hope the Lava Mine will not be that overpowered as Wintertodt. But I don't know how difficult the Lava Mine is, so I don't know if this concern is justly.

why dose a new *ancient wyvern* only require 66 slay when the original wyvern takes like 72 ... ancient wyverns are meant to be new and improved im guessing . with new drops so why 66 slay definately voting no to them for that reason . also the shield looks nice however i will prob vote no to it since. its stats are like 2 below arcane. a minor drop shields stats are to strong.

I love this, but i agree with the majority of people who think this needs a buff at least 81+ Slayer req.

Could we possibly see a Dragonfire Shield sink? One of the most iconic Runescape items, yet it has been proven useless with the past updates hence the 9.8m price tag.

- The shield itself is not dropped by the Wyverns. Instead, an Ancient Wyvern Visage is dropped and it must be attached to a
Dragonfire Shield ( which cannot be reverted)
. Attaching the Visage requires level 81 Magic and level 81 Smithing.

- Assuming the stats will not change this needs a crazy high drop rate of 1/3000

Only thing I have issue with is the compost potion. At level 17 herblore, that will completely render the normal method for supercompost obsolete. Make it like 65 or something. I agree it is silly for it to just be a quest reward but don't make it suddenly worthless

I'm pretty sure about 1% of RS players enjoy collecting bones for the Varrock museum for shit rewards. I'll be voting an absolute no to the quest. However, I do like the idea of the island. The new Wyverns should have higher slayer reqs or only be killable on task.

@xexe

you do realize that the granite sword fills in for the missing spot of a better training wep between 50-60 right?...you go on about saying they need to fill in gaps, which they did. but complain about the granite sword. NO it is not added just to finish the set, its a better alt to train your stats at 50 other than using a rune scim all the way from 40-60. not sure if the stats of the g sword will surpass the brine sabre, but still. the g sword will have some use
who shall not pass doe?
