I really think it would be an incredibly smart move to think about adding something like bonds at the same time. You don't lose any revenue because someone has to pay for the bond for it to exist in game, and it will give a lot of the new F2Pers a goal to achieve enough money for a bond in their first two weeks, especially if it is made clear that they exist in old school upon the release of F2P. These of course should only be able to be used on membership, nothing else.

Having a method for players to use their GP to buy their membership would be fantastic. If the community are comfortable with bonds being bought for real money in Old School then we'd add it to the next poll.

No God please don't.

Dont go for bonds please, buying membership with gold coins is fine, but the other way around, buying coins with real life cash is certainly NOT

If you absolutely must insist on going for microtransactions of any kind, go for completely cosmetic things, not advantagious things
Technically you already can. Buy bonds on rs3 and trust a swapping chat. All bonds in old school would do is make it so you don't need to trust any swapping chats

Tell me more about the 1 out of 10000 chats that wont actually scam you

anyway, i wouln't buy membership with coins anyway, i imagine most of the people that would would be stakers anyway, better not have bonds at all then

Likely going to get my post hidden lol, but I've had experience with 2 legit chats. The "Home Swap" chain and "Swapcoins" chain, both change cc names often, I just add hosts and ask for the new name.

to purchase the bonds you have to use RL money then trade to the player for in-game cash.

That is a transaction with one side being Rl money and the other side being in-game money.

All Jagex did was add a middleman (another rs player) into the mix. In essence it still becomes a thing in which you can spend Real life money for Game money which makes it Pay2Win and less interesting.

uh 2 weeks free trial for new accounts is a pretty small window
i think back in the day this game grew on f2p new players coming on for the first time playing and learning the game slowly without having spend money on something they might not like...like i did.
why i dont like the only 2 weeks trial if it fails then f2p will take longer or even never to come out which i strongly believe f2p is the best long term investment in the game that back in the day always had. RS3:Bryce Legacy
