This is going to ruin the system. What ruined RS2 initially was the GE. Yeah it's nice and all but didn't all of us leave RS3 because it was way too easy? Maybe I'm alone here but I like it the hard way. Having to find the person and actually trade them was one thing that I dropped RS3 for. Items are going to be way to easy to buy. Everyone will have 99 in all of the usual stats again. Fletching, Cooking, firemaking and all of the other skills that just require a lot of money..
i don't understand why people keep saying GE made people ruin runescape, THE GRAND EXCHANGE WAS RELEASED IN 2007 GOOGLE IT, after the grand exchange was released runescape reached higher numbers of players than ever before, everyone loved it, everyone left rs3 because of the stupid World of Warcraft aspects of the game and the 10,000+ health bars

If you really look closely you will see the game started to decline due to free trade restrictions and the death of the wild. While the intentions were good...trying to cut back on botting and scamming...it fundamentally changed the game. The reason they could do this? The Grand Exchange. The market should be controlled by players and players alone. It works in other games but it never has and never will work in Runescape.

For those who want something like that go back to EOC and wait for legacy mode. Don't try to ruin it for the rest of us.

I really don't like Question 4. If you cannot obtain/get rid of items via the trading post, then it's essentially an in-game version of **b. As a player who uses the Orion client to play Oldschool, I already have this essentially built in to my playing experience. This question in the poll does not appear as though it will reach 75% which means players will still need to meet up to trade. This will make it basically an in-game version of Zyb and therefore pretty obsolete. I think it was stupid to involve something in this poll that basically just moves an existing system in game, and actually makes you go somewhere to see it as opposed to having a handy tab open on my browser. So basically, this solves nothing and just wastes a bit more time. Nice solution.

No, because legacy will still have pay to win microtransactions, the newer graphics, easymode xp like runespan and that crappy, cluttered interface.

lol we should be building updates around Orion users? Thanks for the laugh

The only 'problem' with trading is the sheer fact we must use this third party site in order to get anything done. Any other 'problems' are just people's laziness and/or need for instant gratification - a principle which could be applied for me to argue a case for double xp weekends/summoning/chaotics/claws...

Once again JAGEX you've ruined something great. I don't even understand the purpose of question # 4. If question 1 passes players will be able to trade through the interface rather than use the old trade system?

This is the whole basis for this update, and it's not going to pass. This entire update is so that players don't have to talk to or trade with someone, runescape has one of the darkest and toughest communities in a game and most players are either extremely rude behind their keyboards. Obnoxious morons, or just plain stupid. Trading with them is like the Black Death.

If this poll question doesn't pass, it defeats the whole purpose of the poll, this is all players even want. It's at 71% now, and I think that's enough of a majority to accept the question.

If that question has to have 75%, then it won't pass and all you'll have done is wasted your time adding a interface that does exactly the same thing as the oldshool rs help site'a price guide does. Which I'm sure more players would actively still use than this.

Please make some form of an adjustment. If you weren't releasing corp, and I had to continue to trade these children, id cancel my membership forever.

how exactly did runescape slowly start losing players? this is a load of crap. in 2009 runescape hit 100 million players, in 2012 a mere 3 years later it hit 200 million, tell me now, how does doubling your number of registered accounts mean you are losing players?

Its not like the people that stopped playing had their accounts deleted...Poll 90% of people that played from say 2006-2010 and they will tell you the games decline started with free trade restrictions and the end of the wilderness. No matter what a centralized game trading system (an auction house, grand exchange or whatever) is a free trade restriction and will only hurt the game in the long run.

I'm sorry, but how on earth would it RESTRICT trading?
