So... A simple trading solution in 3 lines...

Add an option to 'trade' a player when you right click their name on your friends list. The regular trade window pops up for both of you, and can be used in different worlds, at different locations. Items that are traded must be collected from a bank collection box.

Pleasing everyone doesn't seem to be an option when it comes to the trade solution... This wouldn't work while players are offline, but it's damn simple and effective in pleasing the majority I think.

Really don't see much point of adding an in-game version of the website that already exists for trading. That's not a solution, that's a slight improvement. And It's not an improvement if you have to visit the 'post' to look at the offers etc.

However, an in-game version of said website, that can be accessed anywhere at any time (could possibly replace the ignore list tab (join it to the friends list tab)) would work fantastically in conjunction with the simple yet effective idea I posted just above this ^^

What happens if I vote yes to both of these questions? Doesn't it create a contradiction? Which would you do if both passed, have trade offers appear only when the trader who posted the offer is online, or have trade offers also appear when the trader who posted the offer is offline?

Question: Should we introduce a trading post where you can post trade offers which will be visible to everyone? Offers will only appear when the seller is online and you will need to trade through the existing trading system.

Question: If we introduce the trading post, should players’ trade offers be visible when they are offline?

If both of these questions passed, players will have voted both for offers to appear only when online and for offers to appear also when offline, which contradict each other.

answer of NO to the first question and YES for the rest of them ....but hey why doesn't Jagex just do a poll on bringing back the GE as it was in the early days

As worded, if you answer no to the first question there will be no new trading system at all. So voting no to trades only appearing when online means there will be no new trading system at all, which means all the yes votes after will not even be counted.

The poll clearly needs to be reworded. Hi.

Very strong NO to the first question. I actually want to play the other 90% of Runescape rather than spend tedious frustrating time simply trying to buy or sell some items.

Yes to all other questions. Let me post an item for sale that may be taken up by people in other time zones, not just people who are on line at the same time as me. After all, it is a global game we play. Allow the trades both buy and sell to remain available to all players for a good period say 3~5 days.

If you allow buying while offline then it's just the Grand Exchange. Only selling offers should be allowed while offline just like the Auction Houses in many other MMO's.

There actually shouldn't be any buy offers at all. People should only be able to buy from a person who is currently selling. They should not be able to put a buy offer in and wait for someone to sell for the amount they want to buy at.
