Gloves of Silence are completely redundant if you've unlocked the Ardougne hard reward, since the diary reward is bigger and doesn't stack with the Gloves of Silence. That might be of some help to you.

how do you get in the mine after killing the boss?
If you've killed the boss, but have not completed that diary, Dondakan's chat options include "I want to go back in the rock for a moment."
